I finally did end up receiving a good HD from newegg and now my computer is back up and running good. I get Cox cable internet on Friday so I will be back chatting on the forums like I used too. It has been a long break of over 6 months since I could actually have my computer to access to do what I want and I am ready to go back to my gaming and chatting! :D The cable guy really hooked me up with a great deal and waived some costs. Getting a brand new motorola surfboard 5200 from them for $50 so thats good since they usually charge like $99 according to their website and best buy is more. So anyhow plan to see me back in a couple of days! Windows Update will love me on friday muhahahaha.
Take care all

Hey, Masta, it's good to see you again :wavey! I really enjoyed hearing your updates in the times you could get to a 'puter :).
We haven't lost anybody ;). Some go, some stay, some pop in for a brief visit...but those that come thru have shared a piece of themselves, and remain as a part of the heart and soul of a forum. Community is contribution :).

Well not so good...on Friday I come home and turn my computer on and bam when the windows xp loading screen comes up I got the same blue screen I did when I thought my HD had died. Something about ntfs.sys but this time I found out that I could delete the partition and create a new one then I was actually able to put the windows xp cd and format. Usually it would not let me get that far because I would get another blue screen about the ntfs.sys before I got to the formatting thing. Well I formatted it and got windows xp back on again and my friend down stairs let me use his internet to get all the updates thinking maybe serial ata was not very good when windows xp came out and one of the hundred updates fixed it who knows. Well anyways I ended up calling the cable company on Friday and cancelling my appointment because my computer went down again but I ended up fixing it then I called back and my appointment was gone already. Now they will come out wednesday ... so lets hope all goes well. Anyone have any idea what causes this? I hate blue screens...especially ones that don't fix when you restart lol. It can't be the HD because this is a brand new sealed one from newegg and the last one did it so no way. I don't see how any hardware could cause that problem either...well lets hope for the best I guess. Anyone looking for some Geil golden dragon 3200 1gb dual channel set because that and AMD do not mix...so I will need to get some better ram for AMD I think like corsair or something. Well any ideas would be helpful but as it stands wednesday will be when I actually will be back :devil Take care all
