Ok here is the story. i dont know if anyone has been seeing my tourbles lately but i have had a ton of them. about 2 months ago my comp started to restart for no reason. i did everything softeare and eventualy figured out it was the card. well in the weeks time to took me to figure that out it also hurt my mobo. so i rma'ed both items. got my card back about 2 wks ago and thengot my mobo back last wensday. get everything up and going. install ut04 and start to play. i am gettin like 15 fps when before i was gettin like 60-80 depending where i was at and how many ppl. so i formatt and redo everything. i play some ut04 and start noticeing a little artifacting not much just barely visible. but the frame rates are up so i think nothing of it. thought it must be a hickup of not defragin yet. so i install planetside and start playing and even on th opening sceen it looks like my comps is about to explode. so i play the game and while i am outside everything looks good and their is no artifacting. but if i am in one of the bases or towers i feel like i am at some myan ruins with all the artifacts. i mean if i look at someone their is a outline of him getting smaller that extends to the bottom of my screen. same with clocks and stuff. ne ways i have realy bad artifacting. so i call asus back and i am mad about it and find out that when they get a bad card back all they do is refurb it and send it to someone else. i then found out that my card had come in b/c it was artifacting and asus could not find a problem so they sent it to me thinking that it was ok. i mean i have already had to wait a month for the first rma and now i have my card back and have to wait again b/c their tech's are idots and dont have any degrees. what should i do i mean when the card worked it was awsome a few driver conflicts here and their but thats all solved now and the card is awsome. but now with all this i am ready to bust it in half. What should i do?

Well, first of all don't do anything dumb.
Buy some cheap card that will play your game...then when u get yours return the one you bought.

That really sucks and i can't imagine going through this. Sorry man.

Call asus and yell at them for doing that, tell them you can't wait longer anymore, make something up. Tell them to get it to you asap because they screwed up once, u can't wait another month.
I don't know what else you could do.

But good luck with everything!

yes it is. i bought the card 6 mo before the first time it went out. that was kinda the reason i was asking to see if their was any secret way to make asus refund my money so i could go grab an ati card. i am just so fed up with them now i proly will not ever buy another asus product.

asus makes good motherboards, but in the video cars, i have seen a lot of artifacting. what i would do, is demand a new card, or your money back. !.) you paid for this card, and then paid to send it back to them so the problem would be fixed, 2.) you waited all that time to find out there is the same problem with the card that you had before. what i would say is that if i were you i would talk to a lawyer of some sort, and get the problem situated! they owe you something form this misshap of poor quality parts. though, does the ram on the card feel hot in any way? if so, then you might just need ramsinks to solve the problem. check that... good to check what might and might not be wrong! how is the airflow in your case also? that could be another problem!

Ok this post is a little old i got my card back a week and a day ago. everything is going fine the first day. then it starts to freeze randomly. when i say random i mean at the strangest times. i just contacted asus again and their manager is calling me back tomorow. this will be the fourth rma i am going to have to do with them. is their anything anyone can think of that i could say or do. i mean i would like to go to a lawyer but i dont think it would be worth the time or money. i mean all i want is a vid card with no problems. ohh and i did test my sys with a 9600SE and didnt get any lock ups. i mean is their something i could say to make them thourly test my card i mean i think they tested it pretty good this time but with it being so random i am pretty sure it would of been easily missed. i am just at a loss guys help me get a good card.

Just tell them that this is the fourth time you have had to RMA the card and
you want a BRAND NEW SEALED one back in return instead of the same card
or a refurbished one sent back to you. Tell them you tried the 9600SE in there
and had no problems with it. Also tell them if they do not make it right this time
that you will be contacting a lawyer and the B.B.B. (Better business bureau) to
file a complaint against them that should get their attention. :thumb
