the dragons from that thread are from pics from my tattoo. i have one on eatch shoulder blade. the one on the right was my first and above and below it has writeing. the top is written in chinese and says love while the bottim is written in japanese and says KATE. she is an ex of mine and the first true love of my life. i have one more and its on my right shoulder it is a yin/yang of fire and water. best i have ever seen done it has 9 colors in it and the water looks real and the fire does too. i plan on getting more but as i am alwys broke i cant afford them. the next one i want is a dragon flying up my back. or maybe a dragon fight? who knows but i do know i will have alot more before i am dead.

I have several tattoos I'm planning on having done over the next few years. Since my heart surgery last year, the order I'll be having the ink done has changed a bit:
1st) Sacred Heart of Christ on my chest, centered, divided by my surgical scar. Representing my renewed faith and trust in Christ since my life-altering experience. Have not designed it yet.
2nd) Angel, on my chest, upper right (first pic below is a rough beginning, it will be tribal in nature); there's specific reasons why the angel is black and female. Will be done at the same time as a Celtic cross on the upper left (over where the heart was conventially believed to be) in respect of my Irish ancestry.
3rd) On my upper right arm (near shoulder), ken shin ichi (second pic below); in Japanese, it translates as "sword and mind are one," but the applied translation (as taught to me by my sensei) is "keep your mind on what you are doing." On upper left, oshinobu, meaning "patience." In kendo, the right hand is where the power of a cut comes from, the left guides, aims, and restrains.
4th) On my back, my most complex design (3rd pic); the koi is a Japanese symbol representing peace and tranquility, the dragon represents war and chaos, and the center is the Seven Virtues of bushido (literally "the warrior's way"). The image represents to me the dual nature of man, and that it takes both war and peace to make us whole. This design is not finished... I was not happy with the design of either animal... I've redone the dragon, but haven't gotten to the koi yet.
I don't have one though i would like to get one. It's rather expensive here though to get a proper one! :luxhello

I too want one but have never found a design that I liked enough

Ink done. I like your designs, Nick. I want to have a wrap around done on my arm but not sure of what. I know it sound cheesy but I like the xXx of Triple X and would not mind having it done on my upper back. Since I love wolves, I also want a wolf tat...but haven't decided on that one yet.

Here is my 3/4 sleeve. It will be finished in July when I head to Edmonton. It has to do with different symbolisms within Buddhism and the left 3/4 sleeve will do as well.
This shot is of my inner forearm.

It is the best investment man! Think about it, you have got it for life and if you take care of it (no sun etc) it will last. If you figure out the cost, its only pennies a day over your lifetime. So far the work I have had done has cost me about $900 as my friend gives me a great deal. About 12-14 hours done so far. Another 8-10 or so to go I'd say. It can be a bit painful but over all it really isn't that bad. Upper arm is a breeze. The ditch or where your arm bends can be touchy as too can the upper elbow.

LOL...really? Never saw them...well, let us revive them in this post. There is no way this post could go off topic...lol. Keep those tats coming!
I dont like the idea of Tatoos. IIIIII think that it makes decent people look like.... a gang member or some sort. SOME can wear them.
Decorating your body is a way of expressing yourself in other ways, I just dont see the point.
Even though yours, Bobenis are quite nice. Even though I thought you where the last to have one.
I thought Wazman had a chinese marking in the neck or something. Dont know why I think that.

Everything I have done will have a deep, personal meaning. Further, with a shirt on, even short sleeved, you won't see a bit of them.
I'm not getting tattooed for the world. They are for me.

I have two tattoos - a purple cross on my left arm, and a compass wheel on my right arm. I got them back in 1999 during my recovery from surgery. I've thought about getting more, but I don't know - I got them for free because the tattoo artist was also in my band at the time. Now I'd have to pay.

:) Wanted something original, but it didnt come out the way I thought it would, ( i went to a cheapass tatoo parlour) it was a dark red, got it touched up in black and the flames around it to make it a "bit" better.
Ah well, its there now, may as well enjoy it :p
