About what? The rule that it is sexist?

It is realistically.

Banning ladies night. Those types of decisions should not be made by men who have to take Viagra to get hard. Leave it to the 20ish crowd :devil

Well, I have 6 months keft of being 20'ish :KICKASS

When you have to work in an office where you habe to do harrassment training every year you get a bit jaded If Ladies want equal standards then they have to accept the flipside too.

I am constantly telling the girls at work to remove their topless "Hunk" wallpaper - if it was a bloke with a bikini girl wallpaper he would be in real trouble.

There are several laws and a Constitutional Amendment that make discrimination on account of sex illegal. Ladies' nights are discriminatory to men and are therefore illegal.

The U. S. is a nation of laws.

Technically this is true, but in all reality it is the better for all of us. Then again it is usually free at the real parties though it is crap and tastes like rubbing alcohol.

Plus Ed, I am sure you are really against ladies night since it is technically not fair, but all of us who don't have a lady think it is great since it really improves the odds of scoring!

Not really. Being sincere and carring on a good conversation with a sense of humor will go further. Women especially over the age of 25 look past the physical and start looking for quality. That is unless she is a **** then you really don't need the alcohol. :lmao

Let's face it if one is so ugly or boorish that she has to be drunk for one to score one should refrain unless one wants the possibility of ugly, boorish kids running around. :rofl2

Look at me, I'm a fat, 52 year old that is totally out of shape and look at my wife. I still don't know what she sees in me but I ain't complaining.

Definetly the mention of kids is out of the question, I don't even want to hear that mentioned. But the bar is to have fun, real conversations can happen at Starbucks, but at the bar it is the fun later that almost every guy cares about. Time for real relationships come later.

See this all the time at work. None of the guys dare put women on the desktop; however, the women just don't seem to mind putting pics of guys on the desktop (and I ain't talking about Grandpa, either).

Most of the bars around here have happy hour. There isn't many "ladies" night anymore; although, I want to say I've seen a couple of places offering some slight drink specials on a ladies night. I think that the bars also realize that they get more paying customers in the bar with happy hour than they do with just ladies night. Once happy hour is over with, drink prices go up and said happy customers willingly pay for full price drinks.

I've not once seen "Mens" night.

.

I have fun winding the girls up at work (I work in an industry where there are 99% women). I tell them that they are sexually harrassing me. They are genuinely shocked when I explain why.

I couldn't give two hoots but if I have to operate under these rules than so should they.

They actually brought in a Female solicitor in to runa workshop. She was annoyed at my apparent boredom. I then referred her to the 3 counts of overt harrassment that had occured under her supervision. Neddless to say she wasn't impressed

Well, it is true. If you're going to be arguing for women to be equal to men, why should women get their own night?

Well, it is true. If you're going to be arguing for women to be equal to men, why should women get their own night? It's designed to get more women to come out on a slow night, which attracts more guys, which in turn sells more liquor. The problem is it winds up putting more drunks on the road. That's probably the real reason they're banning it.

Possibility; however, do they have happy hours in those states? I know they do here and if they wanted to limit the amount of drunks on the road they would really have to get rid of happy hour.

Fair or not, sexist or not, I actually don't care. The way I handle the problem is to not drink at that location and go the competitor which runs happy hour and not ladies night. I've found that there usually isn't many women at the bar on ladies night for multiple reasons. The main one being the few that do have a ladies night, it's usually held on some off night during the week that no one goes out on. I also do not pick up women at bars, anyways. The chances of meeting that life time love at a bar is between slim and none. I go on rare occasion just to have fun and good company.

I never understood ladies night, I mean half the time (if not more), they don't buy their own drinks anyway. :Blah Like this friend of mine, whenever she goes to clubs, she just brings cover charge + $5 (which can typically buy 1 drink at most 2). At the end of night/morning, she's always pretty wasted. Sometimes I'm glad I don't pick up girls from club..... :devil

Bah I could care less because I don't go to bars anymore since I quit
drinking booze years ago. I do have to admit though that it is kind of
unfair for the ladies to have a special night just for them and the guys
always have to pay full price they should have special nights for both
men and women.

I wouldn't mind it. I will just go to that said bar with a girl and get her to buy my drinks at a reduced rate. Sounds good to me! :KICK ASS

No ladies night?

We have that every friday in Denmark. I think there was something about it in the papers yesterday or something. Ladies paying 10% of what men have to pay to gain acess to a night club.

I think its bogus. Why whould women pay 10%? I dont get it.

Ladies' Night never lured me into a club. If I was going to go, it would be for Happy Hour.

Having guys buy you drinks is just setting up for bad news. There is always some sort of expectation there.

Anyhow, girls are going to go clubbing with friends no matter what the price of a drink is.

Not only that, many women have gotten slick, go to the bar utterly broke, only half dressed, and use the guys at the bar for free drinks all night.

If you go to a bar/club to have fun and not to pick someone up, that isn't a problem. I never buy drinks for women at a bar.

I just don't go to bars anymore. I have had my over fill of them when I was younger. I just enjoy hanging out with friends outside of watering holes myself.

I met my G/G in a bar - we are still going strong after 5 years - nothing wrong with where you meet anyone. It is the person. By deciding not to take a girl seriously that you meet there you might miss out on the love of your life

Yup! I met an old GF in the bar when I bounced there. We are still very good friends and talk all the time after 12 yerars. Not all bad, you get to know who is who in the bar scene. The locals, the ****s (male/female...true!), the fighters, losers, good people etc. They are everywhere in life, not just bars.
