View Full Version : A few more macros
Not bad considering this isn't even a 1;1 Macro lens. This is just my 70-300mm set in Macro mode :)
Another Wasp

What kind of 70-300 do you have?
HOLY HELL!!! THAT was in your bathtub? How big was it?The centipede thing or whatever it is, was only a little over an inch. It is now in the toilet with a little help :devil .

It is a Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Macro 1:2. It was inexpensive and had excellent reviews. So far I am happy with it, except that I now want to get a 1:1 Macro lens :D (oh well, within time).

It might be worth the investment in a Canon 500D to go on it. My Sigma has an auxilary lens, similar to the 500D, that converts the 70-300 into 1:1. (It works even better on my Zuiko 135mm! :KICK ASS) If there is any way for you to try one in a store, you should. It's cheaper than a whole other lens.

Great. When I want bugs, they don't appear.

You have to be patient! Look where their habitat is and then just wait there with the camera. Remember, though to move very slowly, or they will take off. I just wish that I had some more interesting bugs, but all I can find here is flies, wasps, daddy long legs and ants :Sigh . Oh well, when it stops raining here, I will hit the park. There are usually some cool bugs there :thumb
WOW,
What camera do you have? You have taken some sickass pictures!
And... have you thought about cleaning your tub? If bugs are present, its usually a sign :Beer

Those centipede like things are not attracted to dirt, but rather moisture. My buddy lives five houses down and he also gets those things in his shower. They are harmless, they just look ugly!
