I think I like it better with.
Though lowered half an inch or so would look nice (saw one of these at the dealership today... They ride too high).

its a little high but I need to leave some room for when it snows...plus my alley behind my house is really wierd. right after my garage it dips down to towards the street so I dont want to scrape going down it.

If the battery in the remote dies?
Or the cars battery?

I would advise against it since you might have trouble selling it in the future with the shaved door handles.
If its not going to be a super tricked out show car, then I think you should leave the door handles the way they are.

This is a good point. I've got a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Grand Laredo, and the only way to unlock the rest of the doors other than the driver door is through the power door locks. Recently my battery died and I had to replace the battery before I could unlock any of the other doors. Pain in the ass.
I'd leave it the way it is.

If you want to be able to unlock the doors from a distance just get an alarm.
Without a remote to lock the doors, I know that I would forget to lock the car.

after thinking about it I wont be using it as a show car or anything...dropped the idea...but I definately plan on getting one of those viper (or whoever makes them) alarms with the little lcd screens to show you exactly whats going on with the car...pretty sure they come with the remote start and lock.

I would suggest looking at the Python series. They are made by the maker of Viper Alarm Systems.
I WILL tell you that the wholesale price of that system is around $220-250, but you will find it for around $370-400.
So if you go to a local shop that sells them, you have plenty of room to bargain.

I thought they were about $600? The ones with remote start/door lock and the little LCD screen that shows a car each part of the picture flashes when something goes wrong...like if someone broke into your trunk it would flash on the screen?
