I really hate to throw a wet rag on an already crummy situation but..
There sure are are a lot of crappy jobs out there that seriously suck. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. You haven't lived until you have to clean freshly sheared wool (and the stuff stuck to it :( ), or had to shovel wheat from inside the the hold of a lake freighter into the intake of a grain elevator (up to your waist in wheat... the chaff gets into your skin and leaves you itching and raw for a week). I've had to do both of these memorable jobs (and worse but thankfully not full-time) for minimum wage (at the time around $2.00/hr) working for a casual labor outfit called 'Help Unlimited' (these are the guys that do the miserable jobs that a company can't get their its people to do), but I needed the money for rent.
If you feel you are not getting paid enough for the job you do, have a talk with your boss. If that doesn't work, look for alternate work, but don't quit until you find something else (unless you really don't need the money). There are always other unpleasant jobs to do out there. And eventually a decent one does come along. The main thing is to keep the income coming while you look for something better.

Ah...I remember those days....
I wasn't a bagger at a grocery store....I worked at McDonalds! I cleaned bathrooms, washed my fair share of pots and pans and grease traps. Dealt with folks who didnt' want the re-hydrated onions on their Big Mac's and fighting with the McShake machine. All that fun 3.75 an hour. Back in 1990.
Then I moved on to the Movie theather. Ate my weight in Popcorn and Diet Coke. Cleaned the popcorn machine, butter warmer, counted money, cleaned bathrooms again, cleaned up spilled pop in the theather, put movies together on Friday morning, ran them thru the projector, dealh with unruley guests. For $4.35 an hour.
Then went to a Fortune 500 company. Wal-Mart. Worked in Menswear. Best question asked to me while straighting up racks, "Are you in Mens Underware?" (Poor soul was looking for Hanes Boxers), worked in shoes, and Snack Bar. Ate Frito Chili pies and grumbled when worked every weekend for a year.
All that for $5.50 an hour 1994-1995
Minimum wage has gone up since then. What is it now? Wal-Mart paid a dollar more.
We all have been there done that. My fav job was the movie theather. See if your local one is hiring...... :heartbeat that job.... :camera
Remember: No business like show business :camera

I just scored a Cashier Job at my Win-Dixxie down here where I live that just opened up in the RAW about a month ago.,. No I am not lying either. Pays me about $7.50 an hour so I am pretty straight. None of the Winn-Dixxies have baggers down here cause there is not enough business for them I guess. :shifty
Gamestop is a pretty good job. I used to work at Electronic Boutique. But I cursed the boss one day and that was that. He claimed that I took to much a break one day and I told him to put this job in his you know what. Paid a pretty decent $6.75 an hour. My friend Roy works a Gamestop and gets paid $7.00 and hour for the same job. :grumble
I am happy with my new job though cause it is a pretty quiet place and not a damn department store job where 100 people fill a little room at one time during christmas time and you want to tell them all to... :nuts
