Personally, I'd lose the covers and go back to the police theme. They really don't do anything to it in 15", except look amatuerish. Sorry.
You have the opportunity to do something really special here. Spend your money on the stuff you don't see, like sound, hydralics, and hot rod mods. Leave the look pure cop for a while. Then, when everything else is complete, turn it into a rolling lightshow, painted in the cop theme. Be the "Funk Police" or the "Sex Police" or something, with a paint scheme to match. You could even do a lightbar with mirror balls instead of flashing lights. (Light them with LED lazer lights, like comp mods.) Make it a rolling dance floor. Do it right and the police themselves might even sponsor the mods.
If it's a former cop car, I'd look to mechanical stuff first. They tend to be pretty worn out.

lol that would be cool, just make sure to read up on your local automobile laws to make sure your not going to be doing something illegal, i know boston is really hard on their laws and if you modify a crown vic etc to look like a cop car they could get ya for impersonation of a federal vehicle

Caps are temp, I am putting some 22" spinning wires on it this december. I will post those pics when ever they come up.
The caps look better in person, mind you. It is in a way cool, but also humliating at the same time. I can't wait til I get the sound system done though. :D

I honestly don't like the spinners either, however, I do love the spinning wire, that is why I am putting 22 INCH's on it this december/january.
I am either going to do that or convert it in to a straight black impala. Put an impala grill on it, paint her black, and get the 17" impala rims. The impala idea is also a lot cheaper than the 22's even cost.
I used to have a 87 box on 20's before I had this car, wish I had a scanner cause it was a nice car.
How I came into this car was my home boy wanted a box, and I wanted the bubble. Well, my box had something like 250k on it, it looked alot better, but so will this one after some mods. I pretty much traded a more used car for a less used 83k mile car. This car also has alot more pick up than the box did. :devil Hover in this thing on I95 all the time at a good 120, never been past 127 cause I can never get there before having to stop for a damn car.

OMG are those hub-cap spinners lol?????
I would rather ride without hub-caps lol.
Spinners are played out.
What you need to do is paint your car black, get some tint on those windows.........and get some BLACK rims with chrome lips!!!!! :Thumb
Its a nice car but it doesnt deserve spinners no matter what type they are. A good set of wheels for a boat like tha Caprice is something like a classic 5 spoke design or get some real Impala SS wheels. My buddy has a '94 Caprice that has been lowered 1" all around with some SS wheels and it looks really nice(white with a black stripe around the bottom). The car has some serious engine work done to it(383ci stroker kit, hooker headers, roller lifters, hotcam, new valves, 3.5" exhaughst) and is making about 400-450Hp and the car is a total sleeper.... he preys on people that drive with spinners and on civics.

That much power in a caprice would be good for what, a mid 14 in the 1/4? and what's "sleeper" about a lumpy idling 383 w/3.5in. exhaust? which is too big by the way. (3in. mandrel-bent is rated for around 900hp)
I personally think a set of 22in. wire-spinners and some tint would look dope.

Too big? Depends on how the motor is engineered. I couple years ago, I sold a Ford F250 rigged as a mountain climber; 351 Cleveland bored out to 418, running straight off of the headers, and the motor pushed over 600hp because it was made to.
Of course, it got around 1 mile to the gallon of gas...

Yes, too big. It has nothing to do with engineering and everything to do with fluid dynamics. Unless you are making over 900hp, going from a 3in. - 3.5in. exhaust would be purely for aesthetics.
You wouldn't happen to have a dyno graph/video to backup your over-600hp claim would you?

Sitting still, the car doesnt look like much, just a Caprice with some Impala SS wheels. I don't know for sure if the FULL exhaust is 3.5" or not. I didn't do any work to it. But he may have a 3.5" Cat-Back exhaust, I'm not completly sure. But you olny need to be making 900Hp for the exhuast to be useful to make any power. His was wide open just to be loud and it did affect his power, was 500+Hp. But the bigger exhuast cut it down.
I can ask him what size it was, reason being because he was in an accident on Saturday night, and the car is totaled. Him and his brother walked away without any major injuries. The accidednt wasn't thier fault. They were going through a green light(east to west) and some one ran the red light(south to north) doing about 60mph. I'f I can get some pics of it I'll try to post it.

Sorry, it wasn't my truck, I merely handled the sale. I'll check and see if Jeff still has the data sheet from HP Motorsports.
Concerning your "too-big" claim, you cleaned it up a bit, well, on what I was arguing with. You are correct, that 3.5" pipes offer no (measurable) gain over 3". They are not "too-big," just excessively oversized. Heck, I know a 3000GT car hitting over 1000hp on a stock rated exhaust system (no catalytic converter or pre-cats). Exhaust frees up a lot of room in an engine, as it makes elimination of the burned fuel easier, but it isn't everything.
