There were guys in chiffon skirts, brassieres and fitted sweaters, and gals with painted-on mustaches at Hastings High School yesterday despite official efforts to put the kibosh on "Cross-Dressing Day."

I don't see what that big hub-bub is over "Cross Dress Day" in high school is. I know in recent years this has been an issure at some high schools.
At mine we always had a "Cross Dress Day". Usually it was just for laughs and some guys loved the attention for the day. Most had balloons under thier shirts, wigs, make up, some looked good...some looked like your grandmother. My brother did it and one year looked like Aunt Jamima.
It was easier for the guys to dress as girls as it was for us to dress as guys. I usually wore what my brother left at home, since he was in the Navy when I was in high school.
But now even schools have to be politically correct. And they seem to take the fun out of it.
