When these pin heads are captured, they should spend some time in an old folks home talking with our Veterans

I'm sure the Vets would like to explain some things to them in their own special way (nothing like a good caning)

Punks bite hand that Freed them (http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/CalgarySun/News/2004/11/08/705207.html)

As the years pass, and the number of veterans gets smaller and smaller, and as the stories of the two World Wars fade with them, I fear we will see more of that type of pathetic behaviour :(.

This is just one more example of what has become a systemic problem in our society. The failure to teach the history of our struggle to be free and to educate the people today of the sacrifices of those that made our freedom possible is a problem worldwide. In our rush to become so-called less violent and more caring and tolerant we have become neither and ignorant of the pain and suffering that was endured to allow us to be free today.

The proper respect for those that made the huge and at times the ultimate sacrifice for us as a people to be free should never be forgotten. No matter the nationality, the sacrifices of our men and women should never be disrespected by the theft of the funds from the Legion boxes whether it is the Canadian or the American Legion.
