I think I'll pass on this one. Cool card, but I just upgraded my video card, and I don't have the money to upgrade my entire system (motherboard and CPU) to use PCI Express. I'd rather someone win this who can actually use it.

I did the survey thing. I'm not a fan of Abit's products havving been burned by them a few times, but a free vid board? Sure, why not. If I win I'll think of it as payback for all the crap I got from them that didn't live up to the hype.

Those RamSink on that ATI card looks pretty good, do you know where to buy those types of RamSinks ? Also I just got a 3.2Ghz CPU with the Asus P5GD2 motherboard, and I wanna know which is the nicest and great cooling HeatSink that I can get from either thermalright, swiftech or thermaltake ?

Those are coming off the stock core cooler. Which it is pretty dumb having ram sinks on 4 memory chips and not the other 4...whatever lol

True, I've even mentioned this in the Video Review (http://www.3dgameman.com/vr/abit/abit_rx600/video_review.html). The ramsinks on the front side don't even cover the memory and there are none on the back. You could always replace the cooler and add ramsinks though :Thumb

I'm not ABIT nor do I know what they do with surveys or related material. I do expect they use it get your opinions on their products though. Then use that information to make better products and offer a higher quality of support/service. That would be my hope.
Also, you can cancel the subscription and still be in this draw.

If anyone wants to know, I'm thinking of making a new system (AMD-64) w/ the money from this holiday season (even though so far there's nothing under my invisible tree, but I know, come Christmas day, I'm going to have cash) and if you win this and aren't going to use it I'd be able to use it. It'd be a real nice upgrade from my 8500 I'm using right now (which is pullin' down my PC greatly). I'm not begging, just asking if you're not going to be using it. :hail
Just as a side not, I'm not going to build a new rig w/o a new VPU, so it's not like I'm building one w/o the VPU, I just won't build it, heh.
Okay, that's my post there, I'm really lookin' forward to this giveaway because last year, I had 143 posts and didn't make the 150. Now I've got a year under my belt and I'm ready for some winnin'!

So I'm guessing you don't get forum updates in your e-mail then or you just didn't answer the e-mails or what? I was checked just to see, I thought it'd be fun to congratulate the winner and all.

I don't turn on email notifications (subscribing). I tried that for a while and my inbox started getting really full, really fast - I participate in a lot of threads, and some of them get really active...
I usually use the '-New Posts-' button to see what was going on since my last visit & sometimes i spend so long going over those (and answering) I don't always get the end of that list. Often that list is 2-3 pages long and the form software flushes them on mebefore I actually see the new entries on the last page or two.

It is now March 4th and no card showed up.
March 2nd marked the expected 8 weeks delivery period so this prize is now considered as a non-delivery. Also of note - Abit never contacted my by email or otherwise with shipping information, tracking or any other feedback.
I thought my opinion of Abit as a company was at the bottom of the pit. Winning this contest allowed me to revise that opinion upward slightly but now they have managed to drop my view of them even lower than it was before.
That is unfortunate.
I am not blaming Rodney for this. All Rod did was administer the contest on good faith for Abit. It is Abit that dropped the ball here.

This is very werid I have been a big fan of Abit and it is sad to hear they are so slow or not existent with replies. I wonder the deal is?
I think Abit should give you a bonus for being so patient like in stead of the X600 pro they give you a X700 pro but I guess I am just dreaming.

I received an email from ABIT on the 28th which was emailed to both of us:
Hey Mark,
This is Harry from ABIT, can you give me your address again so that I can track it down from the UPS system? Once again I am deeply sorry for the inconveneince.
So you didn't even receive this email?
