insanetek.com - Help the Tsunami Victims: >>>> (http://insanetek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2250)

InsaneTek and our sponsors (Corsair, SilverStone, OCZ, Sidewinder, Crucial, and Cooler Master) are here again with another contest. This time we're dedicated to help the victims who have suffered from the tsunami disaster. Since we don't actually know anyone who lives there, the best way to help is to donate money. The way this contest works is that all the proceeds will be donated to my paypal account. At the end of the contest, it will be added up and I will send one large lump. This also helps me keep track of who donates the most.

Here is how the contest works. The participants will send all paypal donations to john@insanetek.com. Make sure that you have a verified address because my account rejects payments without a confirmed address. Next, make sure that your donations are selected as "Service", with the title of "InsaneTek Donations Contest - (your InsaneTek registered user name)". If the payment type is not "Service" and the title is not "InsaneTek Donations Contest - (your InsaneTek registered user name)", that donation will be rejected. The contest will run till February 28th, 2005. You can make separate donations during the entire running time of the contest. All the separate donations will be added together under your registered user name. At the end of the contest, each person will be distributed into the correct level of the contest, judged by the total amount of donations. These participants will then be randomly drawn for the prizes in their respective category. Confused? Haha. Perhaps the categories will help more...

Donations of $200+
SilverStone TJ06 Black w/ window
SilverStone ST-52F 520W PSU
OCZ ModStream 520W PSU
512MB Corsair Voyager USB Drive
1GB Crucial Gizmo USB Drive

Scythe Kamakaze CPU Cooler
Cooler Master Cool Drive 4 Black

Donations of $1.00-$99.99
OCZ ModStream 520W PSU

XTrac Pro HS Mousepad
2x 80mm Panaflo Ultra Quiet Fans
2x Silver Mes 18" 2-device Rounded Cables
Cooler Master Aerogate 3 Black

Those are the prizes for each category. Let's say for example that you donated $20 one day, $50 the next, and $70 the day before the contest ends. This means that you donated $140 total under your name. That $140 will put you under the second category of $100-$199.99. After the contest ends, all the members under that category will be randomly selected. You might think that this is unfair, but this contest is purely for a good cause. At first, I wanted to make the contest winner the person who donates the most. But then that wouldn't be fair because not everyone has money lying around. Then the staff suggested that we do random drawing. But then that wouldn't be fair because everyone will just donate $1. Therefore this is the best solution to the dilemmas. The prizes are well worth more than what you possibly donate, so please keep this in mind and be open and generous with the donations.

The proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army under the name of InsaneTek.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our sponsors: Corsair, SilverStone, Crucial, OCZ, Cooler Master, and Sidewinder for providing the contest prizes. It wouldn't have been possible without them.

The contest will end February 28, 2005. Please send all questions to contests@insanetek.com. Make sure that you are a registered member of the InsaneTek Forums. Also make sure you check the contest rules. Failure to meet the contest rules requirements will result with a disqualification.

Send paypal donations to: john@insanetek.com

And no, we're not going to lie and keep the money to ourselves. It would be nice, but wrong. It will go to those who really need it.
