Ok - I'm sure anyone who has used eBay more than likly has a PayPal account. I just recently opened my own PayPal account about a week or 2 ago. So tonght, I boot up the PC(first time all day), log onto my Thunderbird to check the mail from my website(admin account"never used for anything" and a personal account). And in my Admin account I happen to recieve 5, YES 5!, fake e-mails from "PayPal". I never use my admin account because it is for e-mails between me and the web hosting company that I have my web site on, but anyway, all of them were sent to me within 6 minutes of eachother. They were easily seens as fakes because of the format, and asking for my my debit card number and PIN number. PIN number!? Come on dude! PayPal would never ever ask for a pin number! Moron! So off they went to Spoof@paypal.com.

I'm getting pretty sick of this crap because my dad does a lot of buying off eBay and he gets 2-4 e-mails from "eBay" and "PayPal" every day. These people doing this crap are really evil.

Just had to share my little story.

Thats true - but eBay and PayPal ones are more rampant throughout the internet.

I remember my mom got one from "ebay" saying that she had won $50,000 and was asking for her bank information :shocking

Heh heh, my Virus scanner picked up a virus from an email from PayPal. It wouldn't even let the email come through. I had also received a warning prior from ebay saying to be aware from emails coming from ebay and paypal with attachments, and notices asking for credit card or banking information. I have only ever received the virus from them, and I have a good virus scanner, so who cares?
