I went to Costco the other day and had these 3 shots done on 8x12 matte finish. They turned out perfect. Here they are, enjoy! Critiques and comments welcome!

Look good. Did you do any kind of filtering or tweaking?

Ya, just did grey scale in PS 8 CE and some cropping. Used noise ninja on the second shot to soften it.
Cheers to all for the comments. :thumb

They seem a little severe to my eye. All the shadow detail is gone. A little bit more subtlety would have been what I would have gone for. Here's a quick tweak as an example. You can see the detail in the couch behind them, but more important, you can see the expressions on their faces. The left dog's expression is just classic.
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I know what you are saying but on the screen it looks darker. When I printed it out, it is a little lighter but not quite as washed out as your contrast/brightness adjustments above. The dog on left is (Bobenis his nickname ;) ) Kimo, the right his son who is now residing with my folks. They had Kimo's dad and now have their dog's grandson. Keep it in the family. :Wink Cheers for the critique and comments guys. I appreciate them all. :Thumb
