Great! Some corporate m*ron trying to justify his job...

If they want to make more money, they have to do 3 things.

1) Keep the same great selection.
2) Keep the same great service.
3) Lower prices.

The increased volume of sales will take care of the rest. It's worked pretty darned well for Wal-Mart.

Add a 4th one - open a freaking Canadian store/site!

Ordering stuff from the states is an expensive, royal pain in the :bootyshak !

I don't understand the hate you have for Newegg? :shifty

It's just a beta webpage for testing out a new style.

They have a great selection.

They have great service.

They are keeping the prices low on most items. If you shop around they will have the best prices on the Internet at times.

A good rule here is not to shop at only one Internet website. However, I don't see other places doing as well as Newegg has done over the years. In a lot of ways Newegg is the Wal-mart of online PC shopping.

I'm sure that corporate m*ron needs a job like everyone else. :taunt

That is quite possibly one of the dumbest website designs I have ever seen.

The whole thing doesn't even take up a third of my screen. It's all scrunched in the middle.

I'll pass.

I'm in agreement with Wazman on the design... The current one takes up my screen and isn't too flashy, but gets the job done when looking, shopping, etc.

But you have to take into account that a lot of people around the US and world don't use a screen res any bigger than 800x600 or 1024x768, like my dad.

Uhm... what about world wide service? I want sweet prices too.

Hmm, I like it. Much nicer than the horrible design they currently use. Seems faster too... altho the lack of traffic to it may have something to do with that.

But I agree.... world-wide service would be nice :thumb

If I had to venture a guess, and I'd probably be 75% right, it's becuase he's taxed for all purchases. Becuase that's my beef with the Egg. I'm taxed. But, I still buy from them. Tax isn't always all that bad anyway. And, the fact that the prices are already really low justifies the tax. It just justifies it much better in places where they arent taxed. lol

I'm sure that corporate m*ron needs a job like everyone else. :tauntI don't hate newegg at all. But instead of this stupidity, they should just work to improve service, lower prices, etc. Substance, not flash. It was their service that got them to where they are, not a flashy website.

The corporate guy can go flip burgers at McDonalds. I don't want to have to pay higher prices for parts just because of his stupid ideas. Change isn't always good, but it always costs you something. I don't like the cost being passed on to me.

S_D's right. I hate having to pay the taxes on stuff. But what REALLY gets me is this. If they have this great new distribution center over in Memphis, why do ALL my orders ship out of California? :bangcomp (To be fair, the IRS does the same thing. Other states send their returns to the Memphis processing center. Do Tennesseans? No, we have to send ours to Texas... :rofl2)
