I found this movie highly entertaining and caught myself laughing quite a bit for a Disney movie. :Thumb

The story is great and really opens up - I really liked the scene where the mom was trying to get the security key from the gaurds lmao

Awsome visuals with a good story = 100% KICKASS!

It's not Disney. It's Pixar. Disney just produced it.

From Pixar's website: http://corporate.pixar.com/overview.cfm
It was pursuant to the Feature Film Agreement that Toy Story was developed, produced, and distributed. In February 1997, Pixar entered into the Co-Production Agreement (which superseded the Feature Film Agreement) with Disney pursuant to which we, on an exclusive basis, agreed to produce five original computer-animated feature-length theatrical motion pictures for distribution by Disney. Pixar and Disney agreed to co-finance the production costs of the Picture, co-own the Picture, co-brand the Picture, and share equally in the profits of each Picture and any related merchandise as well as other ancillary products, after recovery of all marketing and distribution costs, a distribution fee paid to Disney, and other fees and costs, such as participations to talent and the like.
Pixar is an idependant company. Their rendering set (based on RenderMan and it's tools sets) is the leading CG distribution package in the world, and is used for movies (the Shrek movies and Ice Age were rendered with RenderMan), television, advertising, etc.

My bad - I heard somewhere that they were bought out by Disney... but why wouldnt Disney buy them? It would be a good investment.

Anywho I was wrong. :jawsdown

Pixar would be a hefty investment, though. Their movies are done more for fun and product testing than for money. Considering the number of companies who have purchased RenderMan for hundreds of thousands of dollars per copy (ILM? Yep, the digital effects in the prequel trilogy, all composed in RenderMan), Pixar walks out with hundreds of millions in profit every year. Heck, every version upgrade makes them major bucks!

Disney just buys the movies from Pixar. :Blah

When was the last time Disney ever came out with a good movie? :shifty

The movie was 50/50 for me at least.

I thought the movie was amazing, Pixar hasn't realeased a bad movie yet and this just helps to further thier excellent resume (though I don't know about Cars....).
