After visiting this site, which is being promoted by Tony Blair, I have a couple of questions. Maybe someone can answer them.

What does poverty have to do with AIDS? Since when is AIDS caused by poverty? I'm not quite making the connection.

From what I understand, they are not making a connection with AIDS being only within the impoverished sector but rather concentrating on poverty in general and those people dying of AIDS within these impoverished countries. Hence, these impoverished people have no money and therefore no medical care to help with those who are sick or dying of such illnesses as AIDS.

Extreme poverty can be a source of aids. When very poor people, who cant afford to buy condoms, have nothing better to do for entertainment than hump with each other, AIDS becomes a really big problem. Ever wonder why there are starving kids everywhere in these places? Wonder no more!

No condoms = no protection = no birth control = AIDS = hungry kids.

And education - most poor people who lack a decent education because fo their situation, regard Condoms as superflous.

Hence, the frightening incidences of AIDS/HIV in these areas.

Remember the story you posted regarding Indians using Condoms as waterproofing in their roof?
