The same company who is making many forms of speakers an sound systems, has just got into making suspension. Yes the same Bose makes now makes car suspension. I must also say it is superb it rides very great into corners at high speeds.

Well I do not believe it is out on market yet. If it is though I can almost gaurantee it will be fairly expensive.

For note, Bose did not make this stuff. It was a team of students at Texas A&M who first developed this method, and Bose spent a lot of money to buy out the rights.
I hope they do a better job on these than they do on their speakers... Bose audio is over priced and under quality.

I see so many points of failure in this system:
The linear motors: anything happens to one of these on a highway, kiss your butt goodbye. It is worse than having a tire blow.
The sensors: This system has to be able to measure every possible force encountered in a car in order to counteract them. There are sensors all over the place - on the wheels to measure vertical accelleration and speed, pitch and yaw sensors, acceleration and decelleration sensors. Keeping all these healthy over the life of the car is an expensive and painful maintenance nightmare.
The control unit: A burnout/glitch of this baby can spell a disaster on a highway. Imagine a BSOD on this thing :noway
I wonder, is it overclockable?
Not to mention expensive as hell. The only cars that would be getting tis kind of setup would be $250K+ luxo boats.
For the rest of us mortals it is gonna be old fashioned gas & oil shocks & struts for a long time yet.

What's funny, it was being developed as an option for tank suspension originally. It took the guys at Bose to see private vehicles as an application.
FOR NOTE: this same effect can be achieved with computer-controlled Super-ECS systems, using nitrogen shocks and conventional springs, for around $2000 to $5000 US per vehicle.

I think the problem is that conventional springs and shocks don't react quick enough and they only function in one direction as opposed to the bi-directional motion of this system.

Yeah, this must be only for Bentleys and the like.
It would be hilarious if someon put this on a Dodge Neon or a Ford Festiva.
I would never put something like this on any car. I'll stick with conventional suspension. If its from Bose, you know its a ripoff. :Roll Eyes
P.S.> The videos are pretty interesting.
