Yes but his link talks about today, when he was offically put to rest. Your post spoke about the info prior to this offical day. ;)

Cheers Smokey for making a contribution to making what this fine country is today. RIP

What a grand definition of petty... :Nope

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the days since his death on August 3rd, tributes to ‘Smokey’ have come from coast to coast to coast in expressions of admiration for his unbelievable courage, his love of his country, of his ‘brothers-in-arms’ and of his enduring passion for the Seaforth Highlanders, who today bid farewell to a much-loved comrade. For more than sixty years after the actions that earned him our lasting awe and affection, ‘Smokey’ Smith remained ‘one of us’. He was a true British Columbian, maddeningly independent, tough-minded, capable, stubborn, smart and funny. ‘Smokey’ always knew exactly who he was and he never swerved from his chosen path. Our Canadian character is not often assessed in terms of our military history, yet for ‘Smokey’ it was a deliberate choice! Like the country itself, ‘Smokey’ brought military professionalism and a fighting spirit to the needs of an anxious world. He saw his duty and he did it, just as our young men and women in harm’s way today in Canada’s Armed Forces in Afghanistan are doing. We see our duty as people and in Canada’s name we do it! :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping :clapping

What? Ok.....he was saying that he had already posted this but it wasn't the actual day he was put to rest/eulogy. So I just stated that his post was indeed different and warranted. The other post had made its way down the line so it may have been forgotten. This is important stuff and not to be forgotten so really it cannot be said enough. Lest we forget...

Jeeze...relax man. If what I did was so petty to you, why did you use a petty comment to elaborate on my petty remark? :Nope :What the
