My sister, Kim, gave birth this morning to her seventh (and last according to her) child. Dennis Franklin Schaal was born this morning at 0856. He came into this world screaming. Man, does he have a set of lungs.:Thumb Dennis weighed 8 lbs - 14 oz. and was 21-1/2" long. He came with a full head of red hair and already needs a haircut.:lmao

From the following picture, that was taken this afternoon, one can see he is very alert, bright eyed and ready for the world. I love this picture. He looks like a little boxer taking a boxing stance. My Aunt Gretchen who is Kim's and my OB-GYN said he looks like a 10 month baby he is so healthy.

Congrats :)

It's absolutely amazing that she has 7 kids :jawsdown How in the world does she do it? I guess she has lots of family around to help? We have only one so far and she's a hand full.

What's amazing is the way she achieved those seven. Her oldest is a 7 year old daughter followed by 4 year old triplets and 2 year old twins. Dennis makes seven. If it wasn't for the live in nanny Kim would be a basket case. It's bad enough as it is. Family does make a huge difference though.

Kim and Steve live in St. Cloud, MN which is about 200 miles north of the farm. His family is close by and they are at the farm often also. Her mom and dad also spend a good bit of time in St. Cloud.

There's nothing like family. :thumb

Edit: I noticed the words "So Far" in your reply. You and Sherry working on something big guy? :Wink

Yea, the help is really required to stay sane!

We have a new picture of Dennis. The activity that he's engaged in seems to be his favorite thing to do. He has gained 1/2 lb. in the past week.

Brandi will know all about that in a few months. I know Sherry is still breast feeding and I can tell you, it’s not easy. Elizabeth is 13lbs now, in four months she has gained ~7lbs. Breast milk is very impressive stuff.

As for that picture, I've seen more on a breast pump packaging at Shopper Drug Mart ;) If however, people are overwhelming offended by it I'm sure bejohnson will agree to have it removed.

When Kim had her triplets Brandi and I helped feed them when we were present. Feeding a baby with a bottle is hard enough. My hat is off to every woman that breastfeeds, it's a chore but it's the absolute best for the baby.
