To like record direct from a Digital Camera via a PC, you know so the footage is recorded on a HDD insted of the Camera memory. Also is it possible to record footage from a TV via a Digital Camera, so I can record TV footage onto the camera memory.

And the Digital Camera I am moving up to is a FinePix S9500.

I don't believe that is possible. If you want to record to a hard drive, the IBM Microdrive is probably your only solution, and even that's if your camera takes CF typeII cards.

You'd need a digital camera that supports webcam mode, which most don't. Some of the Fuji FinePix did, oh, three or four years ago, but the feature just wasn't used and the newer ones don't use it.

Just go out and get yourself a good webcam. There are several that have full zooming capability and come with all of the software you'd need.

But do you think it may be possible, and with what stuff.

No, most likely not. The camera MUST support that mode, and most cannot.

But what mode is that called, plus I looked and the Digicam I am getting has a video cable.

The mode is called "webcam mode". Your camera does not support webcam operation.

I did a quick check, and it seems that Genius digital cameras (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830135009) are the only ones that do, now. They are cheap, low-quality cameras, by the way.

Go out and buy a webcam (http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=152), and you'll have what you need.

Note: I added links to Newegg, for informational resources. I do realize that you can't order from them.
