With that big grand opening giveaway and the recent Tivon win, how many of these have you guys won and which items? I think it's easier to post here than for everyone to look at past threads (like #27 :) yeah...).

Also post if you won an item because someone donated it to you. I know that happened once and it was w/ someone who's avatar had a person w/ long stretching arms. Maybe Tivon was involved, I dunno.

I won the Ultra X-Connect 500W PSU which is still in my current system as well as the Corsair 1GB RAM that's also sitting in my current rig.

Maybe. I'm just gonna let other people who need stuff go ahead of me. Of course, Power supplies, RAM, HDs are something i'll go ahead and enter as those things are always in need and can go out any time they want to. It's not like I got one system like some people so I can always you my backup(s).

I have yet to decide what to do with that case I got from last contest. Depends what goes on till end of this year I suppose. Oh my gosh, only 4 more months till end of this year!?

And Makubex, Giveaway 20 was another multi-win. I forgot Rod had done that before! I wonder when the first Giveaway was!

There were people who went to those Get-togethers; I'm sure there was more than 2-3 that won at those. I remember watching the special VRs. Those looked like a lot of fun. I might save up and head to a get-together if there is another and hopefully college work won't get in the way.

I think it's luck but the thing is that there might be "other" requirements to do that will pop up during the duration of the contest, thus, it will cut out people who do not come here often. There is a degree of luck in this but not 100% like most drawing contest as the other requirement will either give you a chance to win or cut yourself out of it. (not "drawing" as in "drawing".....that didn't make much sense)

I would love to go to a get together but...I'm only 17 and I can't really travel alone and such. Maybe for a trip to Canada would be nice around the time when another get together goes up. (road trip is out of the question. Even if cars could go on water, thats about a 3,000 miles drive....give or take about 400 gals of gas.)

Actually I got enough parts to build another system to some degree but seriously, I got too much computers already. Who knows? One day one of my cases might "die", lol... (I think thats the only thing in computer hardware which can't die)

no pictures. A wire crossed or something on the fan and the wiring on the fan burned up. It wasn't too dramatic, just melted the fan plastic a little.

Not sure why that happens either?... Sometimes the fans stop
and overheat or the wires melt..scary.

no much more work then that, he contacts the company each month and discusses with them what to give away in the contest and then once its finalized after a winner is chosen with a random number generator, he is then contacted and then Rodney forwards his info to the sponsor and then the sponsor ships out the prize.

Ah. Good post count then. These threads are always a good booster for that. I feel sorry for the guys that never realize that. Even so, some people are a bit too... They enter w/o having any posts first. When I entered my first giveaway, the limit was 150 posts if I remember correctly, and I hadn't even made that by trying very hard to. I think it was #11. By the way, it's a good look at the past 3GM if you do look at some old threads.
