So what were your first 3 posts. I dunno actually how to find them, but if someone could figure out how, I'll post mine as well. Just put them in as 3 separate quotes or something I dunno.
I think it'd be interesting to see how we all started out as 3GMers.

First Post:
Nice Rig... But wouldnt you want to go with DDR2 800 instead of the 667 you chose since your mobo supports 800. Also if $20 isnt too much you could get the X-FI Extreme Music instead of the audigy2...
Second Post:
Yea recent test showed that the Audigy and the latest onboard sound systems are basically at the same level. And if you cant get everything you want or that we recommened in one shot, get some more...
Third Post:
Okay, I play Counter Strike: Source and Half-Life 2 a lot and my current accessories are falling apart. My stuff includes a Dell laser usb mouse and a Dell keyboard with an old mousepad that is torn...
So long ago...:lmao

Yep, we have to travel way back to 12/7 to find my first post....what a doosy it was, referring to the "mans" remote control:
hahah, wonder if I should throw that on my wish list to my wife? ....or that may be a bad idea...
Next was in reply to Vector Mans problem:
Have you upgraded or installed anything lately?
This sounds similar to your problem, maybe give it a try?

Unfortunately once you are over 500 posts, you can only search 500 posts back and since I have over 500...
I probably know how you feel Rodney. Once people see there is a contest they scamble to enter ASAP and skim through the rules. It happens. I don't see why people just don't read the rules. There is alot of time.

Nice the 3500+ seems to be the sweet spot for overclocking since the multiplier is in a good range. Not too high and not too low. Plus remember that you need 50 quality posts by the dateline which is a sninch to get. Good luck.

I'm planning on using 2 19" monitor for my pc.. i was wondering if its ok to use different models for the two brands, or would i need to get two of the exact same model? I'm planning to use them for graphic designing and gaming.. would u guys suggest any good monitors with fast refresh rate and good graphics for my purpose? Thanks!
No, it doesn't matter. As long as the monitor(s) can accept the output from your video card(s), you'll be fine. The only "problem" I can think of is aesthetics. Personally, I preffer having the same monitor just because mix matched monitors just don't quite look right but I am superficial that way.
Btw, may I ask what you are considering for gaming? I say this because, I know a lot of people who had this in mind was very disappointed.
Does this thing have a Mic-Input on it? My LANPARTY has that front in thing for mic and stuff... i like that a lot.. but the headset i'm getting is USB anwyay... so will it matter or anything?Yes, it has microphone input. I believe on just about all versions of the ZS 2 cards, it is on the back of the card itself. And if you are going to use a USB headset that doesn't have any plugs for the microphone then, no you don't have to worry about it.
actually.. i'm only using one monitor to game... just dat i'm going into animation design and i thought 2 monitors would be a good idea... but right now i'm still thinking if i should just get 1 20" LCD monitor or 2 17" LCD monitor... (just found out 2 19" would cost me too much)
For multimedia authoring, dual monitors is a great choice. However, you should also take note the native resolution of the LCD monitors which is typically 1024x768 or 1280x1024. I know when you are doing this type of work, you want the largest amount of desktop real estate possible. So, you might want to consider two 19" CRTs that has Multisync capability to run at 1600x1200.
Bow chicka bow wow.

This is a very nice thread.
Believe it or not, my first post was a THREAD & POST!! :Holy Crap
Hello everyone, I got a problem which i'm unsure what could be the problem. I brought a Zalman Ultra Quite cpu cooler 7000B-AlCl to replace my Cooler Master Jet 4 on my ASUS P4C800 Deluxe. I figure because i would be opening up the computer i would put in a CD-Rom drive and 2 other hard drives which were just used a storge and already formated for Windows XP and data on them already.
Anyways, installation for the CD-Rom and 2 drives went okay, for the processor cooler replacement, when i took out the Cooler Master Ket 4, the thermal compound was strong enough to pull out the Pentium 4 with it while the Socket was still in the lock position. After placing the Zalman cooler on it with the new things hooked up, when i press the power on, nothing pops up on the screen. The computer itself powers up, lights on go, hard drives spin, but the monitor remains black, no bios screen, no windows screen, nothing at all. I end up doing that process of elmimation, took out off drives except the Main drive, All CD-Rom drives disconnect with floppy and another stuff not needed, just leaving the Power supply, Ram, Processor, 1 Hard Drive (system), sound card ,and video card in and still nothing showed up on screen when booted.
I have come down to 3 things that could be the problem, the Processor (because of that incident), Video Card, or the Motherboard but i'm sure it's the processor. Currently i'm going to get another processor.
Could it be something else besides the processor? Thanks.

Processor Dead? (http://www.3dgameman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35936)
ASUS Forever! 2 Prebuild and 1 custom all have ASUS Boards. The HP 9895 which is now my dad's computer is going to be 4 years old and no problems with hardware that is (Curse windows Me), My Sony RZ26G which is 2 years old super stable using that as my gaming computer still though.... As for my custom, it's very good. It's amazing how it holded up the processor running at 70C load before. (3.06 @ 3.68) I got that tempeture down to 55C to 63C load now. Planning to move that ATi X800 pro to my custom soon.

My rig (http://www.3dgameman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35841)
Yep...I remember thinking since I was bored (computer wasn't working that place) that I should go post some stuff on the forums. Needless to say, I tasted 3GM and that crave started to become a massive snowball down the hill as I went into May of 2006. I started to start small, maybe 1~3 reply to thread I knew I could answer, then I started to get so much more experience...
Who would have thought at the time the people who replied back then that I would become who I am now? :KICKASS

Well when you wake up you can comprehend it.
As for finding that post, I went back to the forum area and I went to like page 89 or something to find my first 3 post. Took a while though.
