and glad of it.
The move transition was rather lengthy but the family and I survived it. Now we are getting acclimatized . . . It feels like it's 150 (f) degrees here. Compared to the last place this is frakking hot and humid.
I still have not received my household goods so my computers are still in transit. Hopefully I'll get them in a week or two. As soon as I get everything set up in the new house I am going to pursue the liquid cooling project for my Antec 900.
:Beer
LOL, yeah, we are all now back....
The forums were down for a day and a half.:(
Anyhow, glad to hear it. (now, you might be able to meet up with Maku:Thumb)

I believe the forums have already been transfered and its only the main site thats awaiting transfering.
If you notice, the forums are on a different URL, the forums with the 'upgrade' message is on the other URL.
But yes, the forums are much much faster now, well in my case anyway.

o right ok thats cool
For now, the URL to the forums is: http://www.3gmforums.com/
The main site is still slow, yea =/ But thats just because Joomla is a massive CMS system. Nothing can be done about that. The forums are a lot faster though because vB is a well optimized forums system.

Thanks Maku . . . Yes, this old man still games & definitely the liquid cooling system will happen :KICKASS
I live in Dorado, one of the Island's best keep secrets. The heat is not that bad, I need it after being in cold weather places such as Northern Ohio and Indiana.
The one thing I still can't get accustomed to is the irresponsible and impolite manner in which people drive here and, of course, the roads suck. Had I known it was this bad I would have purchased a Hummer instead of a Bimmer :(
Where do you live?
Peace!!!

Oh, very true. People drive here like they own the frikin road. You gotta be careful with your Bimmer, don't wanna put a dent on that baby :Wink. And yeah, the roads here will trash your tires and suspension in no time if don't drive carefully. I'm guessing your move here was work related, I don't know any other reason why someone in their right mind would move from Continental USA to Puerto Rico, crappy US Territory.
Wait until you see what you'll pay for internet here. Not only what you'll pay for, but what you'll get in return. :lmao
Right now I'm paying $87 monthly for a 2.75Mb/512Kb internet Cable connection with Choice Cable. It's fine for downloading, I get a little over 3Mbit when using a download manager but it's horrible for gaming online. Always loosing packets, getting internet choke and of course a high ping. Thanks to the internet monopoly they got going on here, I've got no other choice (excluding wireless and satellite internet services which are even worse for online gaming due to their nature) except for DMAX DSL which turns out to be more expensive than Cable for less speed.
Since you live in what we call the Metro area you'll probably have a few more choices of Internet providers. Adelphia Cable being one of them (if they are still there).
Well, enough ranting, it's not so bad for people that aren't into tech stuff. :Blah
I'm also in the process of moving (though in a much smaller scale). Currently I live in Mayaguez, but as of next week I'll be living in San German.
If you need advice on where to order PC parts or Home Theater stuff online that offer good prices, good service and also relatively cheap shipping to PR, let me know. :Wink
You came in a good time, though. Thankfully Newegg stopped charging tax to PR a last month, but their shipping prices are still pretty expensive compared to other places, especially on the heavy stuff. However, their prices are sometimes so low that it compensates for the shipping cost.
For watercooling, just stick to the same stores you should order from even if you live in ConUSA (Jab-Tech.com, PetrasTechShop.com, Performance-Pcs.com, etc). Since all of them offer USPS Priority Mail shipping, the shipping cost is still low even to PR.

Cierto. Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Que vas a hacer en San German? Vas para la universidad alla?
And yes, the only reason I relocated to PR is due to my job. Home is where the Army sends me :Wink

Almost, the first line is not completely right.
In Spanish: Buena suerte en la nueva universidad . . . Que todo te vaya bien. BTW, ya me comi un mofongo relleno de mariscos. :food
In English: Good luck in the new university… That all goes well for you. BTW, I already ate a "mofongo" stuffed with seafood. :food
Mofongo is a native dish of Puerto Rico made from "platanos", which are like really big bananas, but they taste different. The "platano's" peel must still be green, that is, not yet ripe.
