Definably agreed.

People who don't know how much work and time it takes to even do a review don't appreciate it, so since they can't understand or take into consideration on how much effort and willingness to give up on privacy, they just make fun about it.

Sometimes I wonder if this is a reason why most site does not do product reviews as they can't be bothered to be dealing with this.

Again it will always take a few special people like this to screw everybody else.

On a personal note I didn't find the videos all that funny. Just would be a plain annoyance.

And not being able to spell and being allowed to access the internet is my biggest pet peeve. No wonder less than 50% of high school graduates in the US can read past an 8th grade level.

I've been a member here longer then anyone, and as other people have stated I thought it was funny, being this small review site when I joined to being part of a huge youtube phenomenon, I thought it was worth posting, but to people who have joined recently that think this is some new site, don't realize what it used to be, and in that case don't find it as funny as to people who might have been here longer.

Maybe as someone who doesn't show his online face around here very often you might think posting videos that slag the board's owner Rodney on his own board could find them funny. The real members here though, and I mean the active ones that actually care about this community, really didn't join you in your idea of funny did they.

Maybe you are holding some grudge because Rodney pissed you off in some way, or you simply have a vindictive nature. The point is the majority of active members in this thread really felt you were out of line for posting that garbage.

Rodney has most definitly not pissed me off in anyway. He is the most caring generous person I have found on the internet to date.

I have been to 2 of the get togethers, and I have met him personally.

I believe the video just goes to show how big he has become, nothing more nothing less. It isn't to make fun of him, because I know he doesn't deserve that. It is only showing his fame status, which I think by this is pretty huge.

Remember also those videos were stitched together from copyrighted material obtained without permission. All it would have taken was a complaint from Rodney in an email to YouTube to have them pulled.

I wonder if deadye had anything to do with putting those together and posting them there. It would be pretty easy for Rodney or any admin/mod here to find out :devil And I am sure YouTube would be more than happy to cooperate with any investigation of this sort.

I am one of those "tens of thousand more hits" you talked about, and I bet you're right on the money.

I found this site through those videos and knew nothing of Rodney beforehand. I first saw a Duke Nukem prank video on collegehumor:

I saw the video and it actually made me curious who Rodney Reynolds is, so I googled the name and found this place.

I gotta say, I like the reviews. He may talk with weird pauses but I'd rather he do that than talk in a blur like some other video reviews. I may not post a lot but I'll definitely lurk around a bunch because his reviews are sure a hell of a lot more detailed than some video reviews I've seen on cnet.

By the way, the most likely reason the video was deleted was probably due to the kid, Robert Stengel, reporting to youtube that the video has his personal info in it. (the kid gave his name and partial address in order to act "tough")

Hi. I'm one of those guys that found this site through that video and I can honestly tell you the video did not appear to be making fun of Rodney at all; the child in the video was the butt of the joke, not Rodney; also, it was quite obvious anybody would be smart enough not to use recordings of his own voice and own name to cause mayhem, so it would be easy to deduce Rodey was not behind the video.

It would also be easy to conclude Rodney's not the butt of the joke, since the other videos use Jurassic Park's T-rex and there's nothing funny about that dinosaur by itself, nor a loud explosion.
