It's from "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/fosters/index.html)" on Cartoon Network. The basic idea of the show is that when a kid grows up and no longer needs their imaginary friend, Foster's will take them in and let them live there until they are adopted out to another child. It's a very funny show, and is not age specific. I watch it with my kids every once in a while, and laugh all through it with them.

Cheese (the little yellow guy) is a fellow who has showed up in several episodes. He does not live in the house with the other imaginary friends, just shows up to annoy them. He is mentally... er... "special", I guess.

I just loved the fact that somebody managed to create him in what seemed to be an old NES video game.
