The fellow you bought it from would have to give you a tracking #.

He has 100% feedback, so you should be ok (although, only 63 feedback)
As well, he has a lot of those boards up for sale, and I am sure he would not want bad feedback this early from a sale.

Just use the contact seller, and ask him (or her) for a tracking # when it is available.

It depends on the method of shipping. If he used USPS and he paid for the shipping label via paypal, then PayPal will email you with the tracking #. If he used something else then I think he will have to give you the tracking #. Also, remember that tracking is NOT INCLUDED with USPS mailing services. You need to buy it extra (Delivery Conformation) for 50c. If you don't get a tracking # by the end of the day, email/PM him/her and ask for the number. The seller might not have bought DC. Did it say in the item description that it is included?

EDIT:

eBay is very easy to use. After the sale, you simply pay for the purchased item then wait for it to come and leave feedback as appropriate.

nope, i just paid the amount of the mobo and $20 shipping, it says he will be shipping by US Postal Service Parcel PostŪ and the estimated time to arrive at my house is 2-9days. but im looking for a way to tell if he has sent it or not, its been about a full day since i bought the board, sorry if i sound impatient im just new to this and dont want to get scammed then i gotta go through processes to get my money back its just a hassle. so i really hope the guys sends out my package.

If you don't want to get scammed then buy from people with good feedback. That user seems to have 100% feedback but only 1 feedback in the past 90 days. Not someone I would personally buy from.

But like I said. USPS (US Postal Service) does not include tracking with their packages. E-mail the seller for the tracking number. If he doesn't give one then you will simply have to wait the 2-9 days for it to come. If 9 business days pass and you did not receive your package then simply contact the seller. If a month passes and it does not come, leave negative feedback and contact PayPal for a refund.

Nope, not 100% correct.

I use it ALL the time, only about 60% of the time, do they actually send an email.
It may have something to do with, if the buyer has a confirmed address when using Paypal that USPS/Paypal does send a email.

I never did see the appeal to using E-bay. It's just not worth the risk to me because you are dealing with people and not a big businesses. That said however does not mean I wouldn't ever buy computer parts off of E-bay. There are some good deals and good people out there. I just would rather try retail first from reputable stores.

Try using http://www.pricegrabber.com

Here is your motherboard listed in your signature as an example.

Not true, they are TON of companies that sell on eBay.
FrozenCPU sells on eBay, TigerDirect sells on eBay, etc............
And yes, they sell at better prices sometimes.;)

yea, i would go look at newegg, tigerdirect and other places for the mobo that i wanted, but since its old they dont sell that anymore, so my chances of getting one is only off ebay. ebay is my last resort if i cannot find it anywhere else. and yea my paypal had a confirmed address

Well...

You're talking about my family business, here, bud. Seriously. My wife is a supervisor at the main PayPal call center.

I had to get a refund from a seller who failed to ship a pair of Pontiac 6G cylinder heads. It took 4 days for the money to be refunded into my account, and I never even asked my wife for help.

Now, there are other issues, like someone shipping you an empty box, that can take longer to research, but a simple "failed to ship" is very easy to research. If the seller can't provide a tracking number to support their side of the case, you get it back.

No disrespect to your wife, by no means.

Here is my eBay account. LINK (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=brian32672&ftab=AllFeedback)
I can honestly say, (have proof), that I have had well over 700 eBay sales.
So, clearly I have had to contend with issues every once in a while.
And almost every dealing I have had, have been tediously slow.

Also, please know (not that it matters)
I am sure you did not mean your "family business"
You meant, that someone in my family works for someone else.
(as my family does as well, my mother works for the Government, but it is not my family business.;))

I guess I should be more specific.

I was a technical developer and HTML (site integration) support analyst for PayPal during 2003-2004. Ask the other long- timer folks here, they remember when I was doing that. In truth, I do not work there anymore, but my wife still does as I said before. However, given my recent work with the company, I think what I said as it being a "family business" is quite correct, and I am rather offended that you chose to question me on that.

Sorry for that interruption, back on topic.

I did not mean to offend.
But, I do find it strange that you are singling me out.
As I have seen entire threads, even here at this forum, that delve into 'HATING' paypal.
Let alone, there are hundreds of thousands of these threads all around the internet (with millions of different people complaining).
Heck, EVERY ONE of the fifty+ forums I go to, have had at least 1 (if not many) of these threads.

But if you want to single me out, then knock yourself out.:Thumb
Have a beer on me.:beer

Nah, I was a little out of line. Stress at work, you know, leaking into time when I should just be chilling.
