Wii + Walmart = Mad moms

So the Wife played a Wii @ the local Walmart right. Well we play the new Mario & she wants a Wii. Well Walmart did not have any, go to bed early & the next morning we go shopping. We are shopping for Christmas so we might as well look for a Wii.

We go to two Walamrts, Game Stop, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City.. Can't find it. So I'm at work today & I call two more Game Stops "nope we don't have em.) I call another Target.. Nothing...

So lunch time, I jump in the car & drive to Walmart.. I walk in & I see a bunch of flunkies walking around shopping etc. I can't find any one who is not busy so I go look at the games behind the locked glass case & I see the sticker. " Wii $249.99 " But no Wii but look! in the far back corner a Wii!!! OMG I'm thinking I can't leave my spot of some one will find this. And as I said flunkies are walking around like zombies like they are looking for some thing. Well there are plenty of DS's, 360's, PSP's & PS3's so they must be looking for the Wii.

So I ask this lady if she can open the case to get me a game. She says I don't work here..... So I'm standing around waiting & I put my hand on the glass door & it moves.......:shifty I push on it again & it freaking opens :hyper:hyper:banana so I grab it & walk up to the counter & the guy is like " I did not know we had any" He picks it up & shows the other workers & they all same about the same thing. Some even say I just had two people call & I told em we did not have any. So I buy it & next think I know four women pushing carts filled with kids come up the the desk. :Roll Eyes I don't know whats about to go down... Next think I hear is screaming " You told me you were out!!! " Please yelling etc so I ran down the tool section weaving in & out of other rows thinking I got a mad mom on my tail..

Well I made it out alive... Wii is sitting on my desk waiting for me to take it home. The wife is going to :kiss me...:Wink

You were surprised they were out? I mean, no one has Wiis in stock. I mean, no one.. EBGames has them on preorder still! Only place to get a wii is ebay for $300-450, which they are still selling at.

When I got my Wii I went to the Target when they opened the day they got a new shipment and they had somehting like 28 Wii's :D I also just got my Wii remote covers today! Hooray :D Congrats on finding one!

Funny... the Sam's Club here has the Wii in stock, at least 10 of them. They limit you to purchasing one (and your membership card will stop future attempts!), but they're here. And the Walmart next door of course is out.

I'm waiting... going to get my new TV and Wii when the tax refund deposits in a few months. I may go on a leave of absence from work, though... must watch all of my movies in widescreen. Each movie will be separated by fits of Wii gaming.
