Bell Canada has hutzpah. Their spokesman updated his Facebook status after the recent turmoil over Bell throttling Canadian ISPs to say he's "realizing how little seperates most journalists from lemmings." -dslreports.com

No comment on Bell Canada but, having worked in broadcast media for years, I wholeheartedly agree the most news media types are lemmings. Whomever gets there first with the most blood and gore wins. :negative

The news director's motto, "If it bleeds, it leads." :Nope

It's really amazing how the major media outlet's reports are almost identical word for word.

Bell is being no good for throttling wholesale lines and then saying that they can do it.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not on Bell anymore. Acanac simply does not care how much internet you use and how you use it.

My ISP was bought by bell in a sense, I haven't seen any "traffic shaping" yet. But I'll be pissed if there is.

At least the service is still good, no caps. Can get up to a 10mbps service.

But Acanac uses bell lines and since bell throttles it affects you.

EDIT: bell is also known for capping Acanac users download speeds below 3mbps instead of the 5mbps.

Bell doesn't throttle my torrent speeds. Acanac told me that I'm only getting 2.5 Mbits because I'm too far away from them to maintain a stable connection.

What download/upload speeds do you get on average with Acanac?

This always stays constant, no matter what time it is or what I am doing.
