A redneck delicacy...chicken fried bacon, served with cream gravy. If you're ever in Orange Grove, Texas, order up your own at Beau's Burgers.

I love bacon, but I've never be able to get bacon to taste good wrapped around other meats. Is there a trick that I'm missing, tried grilled, but not fried. :)

Just had grilled cheese with low-salt turkey bacon and tomato bisque for dinner... yum!

I just can't eat real bacon anymore. I've become a grease fearer, I suppose.

Well, actually... "chicken fried" doesn't mean you're mixing meat. It really means frying some kind of meat in "chicken batter". For example, chicken fried steak, is steak coated with chicken batter. Therefore, chicken fried bacon is bacon that is fried in chicken batter.

Darn it, Barney, that place way over by Corpus Cristi (over three hours away). Here's a place in Snook, TX (only 2 hours for me).

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.
