Shut Up And Drive is awesome but I also like Unfaithful a lot. Disturbia isn't bad if you don't watch the video...

Rihanna isnt *all* that great. Her Good Girl Gone Bad album has some good tracks like Breakin Dishes and Shut Up and Drive, but they get annoying really fast (Umbrella ELLA ELLA ELLA EEHHH, LOL!). I like her original songs like Pon De Replay and Break it off, but that's probably because I'm into the whole Reggae scene. Good Girl Gone Bad is probably one of the non-reggae based songs that I like, she should make more of it.

She is killer sexy though O.o

I remember when I first heard "Shut Up And Drive" and that was pretty killer. Cruisin' down the highway and BAM - that song came on and I was rockin' out to it.

I had a similar experience years ago with Van Halen (Van Hagar) with "Black And Blue".

Cruisin' down the road, sun was out, life seemed good and it just kinda hit ya, and before you knew it, you were groovin' to the tune as the miles passed by...

I dug around in my music library (it is huge), found a dozen or two of her tracks & gave a few a listen.

her stuff is a little too "same 'ol, same 'ol" for my tastes. There are just too many pop princesses out there just like her and to me they are all sounding too much alike.

Shut up and Drive and Disturbia are my faves, I think. Fast Paced - almost dance music like. Spiffy.

It's just a bit of re-affirmation of my musical tastes, on this very fine day. :)

Next, after my "dance mix" day, I'm going to listed to Filter, Anthems of the Damned, and the following tracks:

- Soldiers Of Misfortune
- The Wake
- Cold (Anthem For The Damned)
- Lie After Lie
- I Keep Flowers Around
- Only You

Got all of 'em (the whole album actually) off of Amazon.com and their MP3 music service. No copy protection on any of the tracks, no need to install special software to download single tracks and they sound very good. High quality.

They have Cover Art in the MP3 but sadly, no lyrics. That is a bummer because I like Filter and would have enjoyed being able to read along with the lyrics as they played.

Anyway, somedays, good music can Turn That Frown Upside Down :)
