Hey Guys,
I would really appreciate a quick vote on this topic, I am gathering market data in this area to help make our website homepage tailor more to the end user and wanted your opinions. Thanks! :Thumb

Note: The question set for the poll is for the consumer electronics industry. EG, HDTVs, portable electronics, ect.

I would only visit if I found out about something cool from a advertisement or from a site like 3GM. I don't think I would turn to the website first for their forum based technical support, I might look a phone number though.

There are multiple reasons why I would visit a consumer electronics website:
1. Find out if the company has any new products
2. Get information about a current product
3. Get information about a new product you saw in an advertisement

Hey Jason from SOYO,

I'm not voting on one specific thing because there are really two reasons I go to manufacturer's websites.
1) Get support on a product: Drivers, manual, etc.
2) Get information on a current product.

I don't really go to them for new products or news because there are so many companies out there. I rely on websites like 3GM, techPowerUp!, et al. to provide me with news about new products.

It's usually to get info on a new product but sometimes on existing ones or to get support. But usually for info on something new. Hope this helps ;)
