i cant decide which to buy. they both fill a niche, but i dont know which niche to go towards.
the first one i wanted was a Hawk sport, which is a near pre built kit for $165. i would be able to use my existing hardware, but it is mostly a beginner helicopter (wood blades, plastic body, mechanical pitch adjustment)
the other one i thought of was the Raven CCPM. this thing is a new method of copter control, with no mechanics in the rotor head. the only thing that controls it are three servos, which (thanks to computer programming cards) work together to adjust everything. Cyclic Collective Pitch Mixing is what CCPM stands for. sadly, this is a bit more expensive, parts are made of aluminum rather than plastic, and the blades are 550mm hurricane carbon. ($80 a set) so it will cost me $300 just for the helicopter. not only will i need the heli, but i will need a CCPM capable radio, which will be another $250-300.
here are some beauty shots to help you help me decide. :)

the raven costs a *lot* more, but it can also do a lot more, faster and better. however, the hawk sport is dirt cheap. which should i get?
