Competition is tuff in the hardware review business as new site arises every so often. And some of these sites are just in the business for the free products. Most of them have very non-infomational reviews, but none-the-less, they put in good words for the retailers, and that's how they keep getting sponsors.
For example, these guys at reviewnation are pretty much ALL underage.

There are only 2 adults out of the 7 staff they have, hmm, I wonder why.
Some of their reviews are horrible in terms of grammar. I hate these small sites. Most resellers send their products to these small sites because they usually give them Better ratings, hence good ads. It's these small sites that cause a few of the bigger sites out there to close down, because big sites tells us the TRUTH, not just an ad.
That's why I tend to only stick with the big sites, [H]ardOCP, Anandtech, THG(though some of his reviews are for noobs), 3GM, etc. Overclockers.com is good too, like the way Ed just pick on everything out there, sometimes I think he's like a woman who just can't STOP WHINING.:D

Does this mean all small sites and all young reviewers (or whatever you want to call them) are rubbish at giving the public information? I like you, tend to stay with the larger sites, since they provide useful news and reviews, but if say, I see something on Anandtech, or on HardOCP, or on 3DGameman itself, that points to a small 'young' site and yet looks interesting, then of course I'll go and see it. And more often than not, it actually proves useful.
Some reviews are biased, but then again, you don't have to listen to what they say, you just have to take their information and make your own mind up. That's what I do, anyway.

Well, I still go to small sites for review, but wouldn't pay much attention to what they say most of the time, mostly I just look at picture of the product and the benchmarks.
Bigger sites tend to look more in depth into the product. I.E. FOr a mobo review, rather than concentrating on the speed of the board alone, big sites often explain the technology behind to the chipset, etc.

I agree with you there, but some small sites are equally good. Just not a very high proportion.
