The local undertaker for years around here was Deadman's Funeral Home. He had some land that he didn't need for another cemetery, so he gave it to the city. They named it Deadman's Park. Kind of appropriate, don't you think?

We had a Dr. Doctor, and a Dr. Nurse at Sick Kids' hospital :).

But my all time fave now is when they page for Dr. Ruth on the intercom. They page this one a lot!! All I can imagine after I har that name is this little woman sex therapist toddling all over the hospital...busy gal!

You've gotta wonder what our ancient ancestors were thinking when they thought that one up...

Man on deathbed: "Dearest children, thou hast drove-ist me up thee wall with your shenanigans, so as to my Last Will and Testament, I have officially change-est your names thus to Cockshutters. Any changes to thine new name will disqualifiest thine @sses out of my Will. Heh heh heh heh......"

The names I most get a kick out of are "Bunt", "Pushie", "Halfyard", and "Moonie" :).

One family named their kid crap-head. Actually it looks like an expletive when spelled but pronounced, it's /schith-aid/. A teacher was sued for calling the kid crap-head.

ROFL, man our ancestors were damn evil people, wanting us to suffer from such horrid lastnames forever in their lives, well.. unless if it's a woman, she can just marry and get out of their evil ancestors torturous lastnames.. :Roll Eyes

i shake my fist at thee!

Sorry it took so long. The name on the funeral home has been changed, but the park still bears the Deadman name. See?
