Despite your average, I don't think that truly smart people would admit to cheating or doing drugs publicly on a forum with over 8000 readers. I'm not saying that you are stupid - obviously you aren't. Just exercise a little caution about where and who you admit such things to.

I can't believe you just admitted to all of that.
You must have felt the need to tell someone.
What do you plan on doing when you graduate from school?
It's only November...June is a long long long ways away.

How do we know that? How do you know that?
Looks like you're going to go through life earning an average salary, in a mediocre job, never accomplishing anything worthwhile.
That is, until they catch you cheating or doing drugs on the job. Then, you'll liable to be doing all kinds of non-average things with a guy named Bubba, who likes to call you his Baby. He and his friends will all think you're beautiful.:happywave
Besides, women are after security in their lives, for the most part. Why would they want a drugged-up slacker? You won't be pretty forever. Just pathetic.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything. It's just that I've known a lot of people like you. None of them ever amounted to anything, in the end. If you want success in life, you have to strive for it. It won't just fall in your lap, no matter what your natural abilities.
end sermon...

It might take some time, but the phrase "that's life" is very likely to come back to haunt you. I sincerely hope that you will, at some time in the future, take stock of your life and ask yourself what kind of person you want to be. As far as being jealous of your scholastic abilities go, I was a person who could get by quite well in school with a minimum of study - so was Rodney. In my case, it wasn't until I hit college and got shocked a little that I woke up and realized that hard work is what will take you far - not God given ability.
As far as inheriting the family business goes, if you are a cheater, you will get caught. It may take some time, but eventually the way you treat people will be the way you will be treated. The CEO of Worldcom commanded a much larger business than your father, yet his cheating ways have served him badly. I hope you can treat the gift that your father will give you with respect and do justice to it.

No. You didn't build the house on the golf course. Your daddy did. Maybe we ought to send a copy of this thread to him and see what happens. I bet he has no idea what a loser you really are.
High school isn't life. You'll find that out fairly quickly, I think, and when daddy has to keep bailing you out of stuff, you can kiss inheriting that business goodbye too. Who wants to work all their life building something up, just to have their ungrateful child lose it in a few years? Better to sell it and have the cash liquid to pay for the attorneys you're going to require when you get busted.
Don't kid yourself, it's your dad who's respected around town, not you. And no, you're not really a nice guy...just delusional.
This thread's the perfect example. We didn't think one way or the other about you. In normal interaction, a person has to assume that all the others they deal with are similar to themselves. Unfortunately, you went and opened your mouth, so to speak, and now we know what a low-life mamma's boy you really are. Too bad. You did seem like a nice guy. Now we know better.
Like I said in the other post, I'm not trying to beat you down, but you need a big dose of reality. You're headed for a great big crash here in a few years. You think you're different. You're not.
It's your daddy that's the one I feel sorry for. He has no idea what's waiting for him...

I don't believe this. Here's a quote from him about Zone Alarm over in the Software section:
lol you guys make me sick
i download EVERYTHING and i dont get virus's, just dont be stupid and use common sense when downloadig stuff
i dont use zonealarm or any firewall, im not behind a proxy for my Shaw@home. i have not had any probs with anything.
i used to be one of those guys who used netbus, subseven and back oriface. i know how it work so i dont let myself get caught. i know i wasnt a hacker cause i used other peeps programs but i do know it can and will cause MAJOR damage if you have a back door on your computer. your creditcard can be taken, personal information, its just as if the guy is sitting at your computer recording and watching.
but still i dont have firewall im good
A good guy? Right...
:Nope :Sigh

w00t, just don't :smash him down to much, I don't think just telling him to shape up will help, I think he needs to make that decision on his own, and maybe needs some encouragement, I mean, nobody's perfect,I think he might be asking for help.

I have to agree. It's one thing to tell someone that their actions were not in their best interests. It's another to publicly berate them. Let's not turn this into a personal flame war. I think we have made our point, now we should let it rest.

I'm sorry if you thought my comments might have been too much. I keep thinking of all the high school age people we have here in these forums and what they might think of him. He keeps presenting himself as "cool" and "important" because he lies and cheats. Ignoring it just encourages him and others. I really hate the idea of these others looking to him as a role model.
We're having to suffer through the lack of editing our posts because of someone just like him who thought they were too cool for rules. Another "gentleman" made rude remarks to one of the girls in here, just because she had the temerity to post a picture of herself. Then, bit Tivon's head off just because he asked the offender to refrain from that in the forums. Which is worse, the lack of good behavior in some people, or the others who encourage it by their silence? "Why can't we all just get along?" Only if we all surrender our moral values.
I did not mean to go off in this thread, but his remark about being a nice guy is just giving everybody else in these forums the finger. And not speaking up only encourages him. I am sorry if the rest of you found any offence in my remarks.
Now I'll stop checking this thread. Peace. :kiss

man, cheating just isnt cool. ill admit that i cheated once on a physics quiz, but i felt extremely bad about that... afterwards i stayed after for review, worked hard, and EARNED a 94, 100, 85 and 90 as test/quiz grades. cheating is like doing drugs: sure it helps at the time, but once you try and do something without it... youre screwed.
