I'm not sure I follow you on this. To get a free case badge I would need to buy a case badge, apply it to my PC and take a pic and send it to you? If I already had one, i wouldnt need anouther.

I imagine you would like to do alittle recon, on how well your site is being seen threw stuff like these badges. I live in a pretty remote area (Iowa ;)) and never see this sort of stuff much.

Shouldn't you make one stipulation? If it's a pic of a 3GM badge on your own computer, it doesn't qualify. Shouldn't it be if one is spotted on someone else’s computer?

As for companies using my logos, it's impossible for me to have full control over that and God knows what boxes I'm on and how they are being used. That's one of the reasons I want you folks to spot them :thumb If they are used on products that I'm not aware of then that is something that I need to address.

That is not necessarily true, they could use my logo and a small text caption, things like that... Hell some companies might be popping my logo, etc. on boxes even without permission or me having reviewed/rated the product.

Yes, for possible giveaway reasons and just to see which are using my logo. Maybe some are using it without my permission, etc. and that would not reflect on them or me very well. I doubt this is happening but I’m more curious then anything else.

You don't need to put the copyright symbol on any pic or text. Copyright is automatic on any original work. So in reality the logo is already copyrighted but not trademarked or registered. You can sue people that still your work as long as you have proof that it is your own original work.

Very true, pictures automatically carry copyrights :thumb A company or individual using another’s work without permission or under a contractual agreement could be some real trouble for sure. Thankfully the fundamentals of copyrights and plagiarism are taught in postsecondary school ;)

The only store I actually go to for computer parts doesn't actually have a real store. You just go into the building and tell them what you want. Then they take 4 hrs and get your purchase.

Well Rodney did do a review (http://www.3dgameman.com/vr/xfx_graphics/geforce4_ti_4200/video_review.htm) of a XFX card a while ago, I guess as long as he did a VR on one of their cards, they can use his logo on all their cards....... a least that sounds like what they're thinking. :p

Well not sure if you are still doing the spot rodney on the box contest or if you even did it to begin with, well anyhow while I was TSRing CompUSA "in other words, fixing the products to look right and stuff" I noticed a Santa Cruz sound card with his logo on it, so I brought my digi and took a picture of it and of me holding it as proof, so if your doing the case badge thing that would be awesome, if I could get one, what ever style is fine by me.
