Operation Mesh-ed-ness

Ok. The whole speil here is I'm going to get some nice mesh, and work on some modding for the first time.

The subject: My computer

The objective: Mesh all the wires and create a red theme interior

I know red is the hardest to work with because of lighting (looks pink) and other reasons, but I thought red would be the coolest color to go with my green case. Also, becase not alot of people work with red mesh.

Step one: My stuff was ordered last night. I ordered a Vantec Sleeving kit (UV Red), a 24" UV Red IDE cable, and a double UV light kit. All from Xoxide.com. Today, I'm heading out to purchase a molex remover from Radio Shack and a Carbon Fibre 'Military' Switch from Auto Zone.

Now, I ask, where can I get some UV Reactive markers? I'd like to make red highlights all around my case and components. I tried some neon highlighters, but they don't glow too well. So, where and what markers do you suggest?

To be updated....

I got the switch. For some reason, I couldn't find any floruscent/UV reactive markers. Also, Radio Shack didn't have my molex remover. I was sort of disappointed.

I have pictures of the switch....carbon fibre rules!!

Now, I have to disassemble the case so I am prepared for my mesh. Also, so I can get to drilling that hole for my switch.

To be continued....

Drilling and mounting of the switch is done. Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures while I was drilling. Fear not!

(BTW: Thanks to Red Pheonix for hosting my pictures. )

Well, I found my centering spot. Put a piece of masking tape on it. Then, I went through the first time with a 1/4" bit. Then with a 1/2" bit. Took the masking tape off, and filed the edge down. That went very smoothly, I must say.

Well, apparently, I remember the title of the store, but not what it sells. I searched Google to see if I could order the markers online and all I got was a store that sells women's clothes.

Anyplace online you guys can think of that would sell some UV/florescent markers?

I was going to do the tips of the fans, the casing for the fans, PCI slots, heatsink highlights, and anything else that would look cool with highlights. lol

I would rather go with some markers because they are easier to handle then paint. Then I could get some more exact designs if I had it in marker form.

Edit: Please see if you can make any store suggestions until I show pictures of the markers. I taking an early route today to go to another Radio Shack for a molex remover and to an art supply store to see if they have the markers. But, until I show pictures of the markers, I need online stores. Thanks.

Nop, I'm just foolin' with ya. We have nightlights as well for the very same reason. We need them to navigate at night, and also for our daughter to be able to see if she needs to get us for something in the middle of the night.

Of course, when I wake up with a throbbing head, it's for a different reason... But I'll leave it at that.

She's my baby. Hey, it's a Dell, but I've been through so much with that thing. So many curses thrown at it, games, picture editing, so much........

Moving back to the topic at hand; does anyone have a place online where I can get some of these UV markers?

There is also a section on my site for this project..........more pictures and more details.
