Better than some of the gaudy stuff I've seen from them. This one's a little gaudy too, but not nearly as bad.

The chassis looks like another knock-off of the Aspire X-Alien, and the Antec P60, right down to the mobo tray.

I like the basic features of these cases, but i wish these guys were more original rather than copying someone else's good designs.

I would get the case if the damn sidevents weren't so useless.
I mean wtf, the dust is going to go right in!

the "shark" differs from thermaltakes usual design
the interior of the case looks exactly like my x-superalien case minus the 12cm fan

i think the side panel is pretty neat for airflow except, theres no fan on it! this case is not much different from the rest...

Very cool looking case, the insides look a lot like my Thermaltake Tsunami case, so I know it's roomy. The airflow desing its also similar to Tsunami's desing, so it should be good ( I live in hot, tropical Puerto Rico and the temp inside my case is always around 40 ºC ). Even with no fan on the side, that's a pretty big mesh on the side panel, with relatively big holes. It should work just like a fan. I don't think Thermaltake would've done it unless they knew it would contribute well to heat dissipation. The problem, I think, they did not thought to much about is all the dust that can get in through those big holes! One thing that is a BIG PLUS in my book, is the fact that it has a removable motherboard tray! Finally! Another BIG PLUS is that is made all from aluminum so is ultra light, only 14lb!!! Excellent for LAN parties. The only reason I prefer my Tsunami case over the Shark case is because of the Dust-Thru-Big-Holes-On-The-Side problem, other than that, its all good. Very Good.

I was looking at this model as the case for the new computer i'm building. Alot of description's I've read about it say: See - Through Side Panel. Does anyone know if it is see through and open holes or just see through with that design with glass behind it?

No glass behind the honeycombed screen. Just see through holes. Check out the review at overclockers.com for more info.

Those who have this case please let me know if the front 120mm fan is problematic.

As I indicated in the Video Review on this product the 120mm fan at the bottom front of the case touches the filter, this causes a scraping noise. Filter should be removed. Also, the wires to the 2 USB ports, Firewire port, Mic and Headphones jack touches the fan if the front cover is not carefully placed back.

Oddly, when I removed the front panel the filter was half off but was still making noise. I also tried to reposition it with no luck. So in my situation I had to remove it and also adjust the wires to the right.

its a restlye of a classic case chassis that we have all seen before, but with some 120mm fans that I think my dragon should have....

maybe a little metal work is in the future(once the damn this is all assembled and I have played some games!).

ok i dont get it. how can it kool well if there is no pressure being made in the case. any airflow from the 2 120mm fans will be diffused because of the gaping holes in the side window. it wont allow for the cool air at the front to flow back to the back fan. there wont be enough air moved for a good cooling solution. too bad there aren't temperature readings told in the video review. that would show the true performance of a case.

Shark front fan ventilation

I can see vents for the front fan behind the case door, but what happens when the main (front) door is closed? Is there good ventilation through the front door or is this a problem? Thanks - FG

Ok well i bought the case a few days ago and have been loving it since then since its the first time i splashed out but, the day after i got a fan controller GateWatch By AeroCool
this has a fan speed and temp display so if i tell you where i got the sensors and the temp working and not working.

Idle Temps
------------------------
CPU (3000 64 amd K8 fan) 30 C
VGA (Gainward Geforce 5700U wid Vantec Heatsink) 43 C
Case temp (botem ambient below VGA) 25 C
HDD (Sitting ontop of boot HD) 30 C

Working Temp (Doom 3 Med/high settings)
-----------------------
CPU 35-36 C
HDD 30-32 C
VGA 45-50 C (not supprised ppl would unstand this if u played doom 3 as its very hungry lol)
Case 25 C

This is in a room at about 25 C and the temp reader is about 0.5C accurate.
Hope this has cleared up some Q's
any more questings just email me or PM me

cheers Cj
