Lian Li PC-777 20th Anniversary Memorial Case

"For a 20th anniversary you'd better have something special! This is one really unique product unlike anything else that's currently on the market. It's a radical design that you either like or dislike. It has lots of room to work, plenty of features, many drive bays & excellent air circulation. Also, the build quality & design are fantastic. Dare to be different! Watch the Video to find out more..." ~3dGameMan.com

THat is the most odd design I have seen for a case but indeed unique. Should have called it the Snail or the Nautilas, due to it's shell like shape. Remember having read about this on Computex coverage. Indeed a anticipated video review.

aww man Lian Li must love u Rod, they send you all their cool stuff. I cant decide wether this shape will help or hinder air flow. The specs says theres a blower fan so I guess that will help things a lot. Really looking forward to this review

I don't know about their air ducts, I just got a PC60plus with the CPU air duct and it sucked with my pc under the desk. If I pulled it out it worked good. I might rig up somthing so the duct can get fresh air......

Ok... I am sold! this will very likely be the home of my next build, if the price is right -- I say this because the MB tray doesnt look to be removeable, and the max MB size is standard ATX (it depends on if the daullie AMD board I end up using will fit it)

a couple things of note tho -- a kind of ' whay hasnt anyone done this before?

1 - its about time somebody put all the buttons/switches/ports on the top of the case! I hate having to always reach nearly to the floor to get to them

2 - yay! the P/S is on the bottom! I know LL is no stranger to this, but I wish more cases were built like that.

I appreciate this case. Not so long ago, Enermax tried doing something like this to push case creation to a new level, but no one wanted the different case at the time (nor did they want to spend the $300 on it). I wish and hope more case companies start doing this and not just for special occasions.
