Only yesterday we reported that AMDs revealed their new generation of video cards with up to 1600 stream processors and 80 TMUs. Now we are able to have a more detailed look at the HD 5870, AMDs new showpiece.
The following chart displays HD 5870s final performances in comparison to the older HD 4870 and HD 4890:
Cant wait for the 5850 X2 2gig GDDR5 and the
5870 X2 2Gig GDDR 5. Either of these two under the DX11
will rock the latest games like never before,
specially @ game settings set to its very high and the
AF and FSAA maxed out.
I hope the 5650 will have the same specs as 4850. 40nm process is worthy for me since I care about keeping electricity low, even if I turn the computer off.
Or, I could wait for an AMD Radeon HD 5450 and pair it up with a new AMD chipset with a built-in AMD Radeon HD 5200 for Hybrid Crossfire when it gets released into market, but it'll probably be a very long time, though...
I hear they are going to release the 800 chipsets fairly soon
Let's hope HIS will send a few of these my way for review :)
Funny! The article is in English and the comments are in German! :)
