First of all a contrast ratio of 1000:1 is standard and second this is not a gaming monitor - it's a bad joke.
27" and only 1080p?!! Everything below 1200p at this size is blurry and only watchable from a distance. Also what's with the "true" 1080p?. It is not that impressive guys, that might be a high resolution for general broadcasts or overpriced and re-encoded dvds but in terms of the IT-industry this resolution is just about average. I have 2 old Samsung 26" CRTs that do 2048x1440 at 135Hz as well as one 28.5" Philips able to reach 2560x1920 at 97Hz. If this would be a gaming monitor it would need a resolution of at least 1920x1200 or higher and a better panel in general. My 22" Samsung LCD has 500cd/m² but sometimes it is not enough. In terms of dynamic contrast ratio, it does only work for some applications. If you watch a movie, you may notice some artifacts in dark or very bright scenes and 16:9 size is just awful for most games because if games do support widescreen resolutions, they mean 16:10. 2ms response time is unlikely hence I had some pretty fast stuff in the lab and none of them could do that (cannot reveal details).
Also interesting is that over here in Europe that manufacturer is not selling anything - is this a good sign?
