*UPDATE*
It’s Official, AMD kills ATI brand
"Product line names will be retained, with the Radeon and FirePro branding still intact, but ATI Eyefinity will now be known as AMD Eyefinity. The first graphics cards to, erm, benefit from the new nomenclature will ship “later this year,” and the whole thing is said to have been motivated by AMD’s move to Fusion APUs — hybrid CPU and GPU chips — where it’s considered beneficial to have a unified branding strategy." | more

Wait... I've seen this... This is it, this is the end! Yes, you were lying right there just like that and I... I... I stand here, right here and I'm... supposed to say something... I say... Everything that has a beginning has an end, Neo. Sorry ATI but your time has come.
"AMD took over four years, the graphics chip-blacksmiths ATi Graphics, still boasts graphics and chipset solutions to this logo below. However, an anonymous source has occurred to us that the soon to end a stand before. The reason is the introduction of merger and associated products to be..." | Translated

Meh, it doesn't matter to me as long as they make crazy fast GPUs and those GPUs are easy on the wallet.
This is sad. I feel out of respect they should keep the array technologies inc. logo. But thats just me. Although this isnt to different to the Lenovo purchase of the "Think" line by Lenovo from IBM. At least AMD will keep the Radeon & FirePro series alive, as Lenovo kept the Thinkpad alive.
That's sad. ATI holds so much within it's name. The name says quality, innovation, reliability. Unfortunately all I associate with the AMD name is budget and old technology since Intel has been crushing AMD in the cpu market for years now. Many companies who have bought other companies often keep the original name since that name often brings with it some loyalty and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi. For example, the mini cooper now manufactured by BMW.

So if they drop ati, that means anyone who knows that AMD owns ati will still buy AMD graphics. Anyone who has had issues with ATI in the past may attempt to try the new AMD graphics that replaced ATI. Its not like they are going to lose money from a name change. After years of being AMD/ATI, Fusion sounds like a good fusion of the technologies best parts.
i think that the biggest problem will be getting the Intel fans that used ati and didn't know it was amd so they might lose some of the consumers
It's not going to be easy to shake the ATI name.
ya. ati sounds better than amd
It's sad but true, ATI Logo is no more.

Google needs to work on that...
"If, while using Google Translate, you notice that our translation could be better, hover your cursor over the translated term and click Contribute a better translation to suggest improvements."

We are all waiting to the 6000 series video cards :)
Ruby is hot, she will probably stick around.
Vision Radeon HD 6650! I like the sound of that! :)
Are they gonna get rid of the horribly adolescent warrior chicks that they sticker on all their GPUs as well?
NO!!!!!! ATi must stay the same!
So you feel 100% confident that they would not retire the ATI logo. Was it not the whole point for AMD to buy ATI to have a fully integrated system?
Ding. you are correct
kinda early for april fools? lolz
If I remember correctly, these logos are only appearing on fully integrated OEM systems and simply serve to provide a helpful (marketing inspired) guide to which OEM systems fit your needs. I don't believe the
ATI brand is going anywhere as it would be a foolish separation of product identity that AMD is too smart to let go of.

i am... i'll miss it
Anyone else sad that the ATI brand name is fading away into the darkness?
