AMD has announced that they will be supporting the FOSS (GPL) bios Coreboot! This is a huge win for enthusiast builders. This means that those crazy hackers can get down to making custom overclocking or gaming-tuned features. Coreboot features a number of great benefits including being C based rather than assembly, faster boot times, 32-bit protection, net-boot, serial console, etc. It would seem AMD has listening to their diehard fans! :)
