"Microsoft released data today showcasing that Windows 7's malware infection rate has climbed by more than 30% during the second half of 2010, while the infection rate for Windows XP has dropped by more than 20%."

I've had to get onto my kids a few times after they installed software on my computers. Found myself with hacked browsers full of search bars and proxies.

Malware infection rate has climbed? Did users clicked "okay" in the UAC prompt? Hmm?

How's that possible? I haven't had an infection SINCE I upgraded to Windows 7 back when I got a copy of the RTM.

Yep, my PC was attacked yesterday. Hopefully everything is OK now. I scanned my HDD on another PC with ESET Smart Security 4, seems to be free of viruses now.
