Security researchers warn of Origin game hack vulnerability

" Security researchers have warned that subscribers to EA's Origin game service are at risk of malware attacks, thanks to a vulnerability in the game link system.

ReVuln, a firm specialising in computer security, was able to exploit the vulnerability to make game execution links run malicious code, leading to malware infections.

The exploit appears not to have been used yet, but EA is investigating the issue and will likely have a patch for it ready soon..."
