"Activision has apparently uninvited Dutch porn star Kim Holland from a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 party in Amsterdam. The gaming outfit was apparently unaware of Holland’s previous works, so to speak, and when it pulled her invitation shortly before the event. Writing in her blog, Holland said she was unpleasantly surprised by the decision and described it as hypocritical. Holland is a big fan of the CoD series and she seems to be a keen gamer. Holland then went on to question Activision’s moral priorities."

"Happy Halloween from the Google Doodle, which uses mammoth pumpkins and some pretty sophisticated pumpkin carving to send its holiday message. It's no trick and all treat. The Google Doodle often uses a static image when it temporarily revamps its home page. But Monday, users are treated to a time-lapse video showing huge pumpkins being sliced and diced and, as the sun goes down, emitting a flickering, ghostly glow -- and the name of the search engine, of course."

Canada's Supreme Court has unanimously decided that posting a hyperlink to an allegedly defamatory article does not constitute defamation itself. "We came across an interesting survey from Boston Consulting Group who came across some interesting data. They did a survey asking people in China and USA what operating system one would prefer on its tablet. The results could be described as shocking, since 44 percent of consumers in Chine want Windows on their tablets, while in US some 42 want the same. Apple’s iOS, the ultra-popular and most prolific operating system for tablets is preferred by 34 percent of Chinese customers while in the Apple loving US this number surprisingly drops to 27 percent.

"The University of Manchester team have for the first time demonstrated how graphene inside electronic circuits will probably look like in the future. By sandwiching two sheets of graphene with another two-dimensional material, boron nitride, the team created the graphene ‘Big Mac’ – a four-layered structure which could be the key to replacing the silicon chip in computers. "A computer virus has infected the cockpits of America’s Predator and Reaper drones, logging pilots’ every keystroke as they remotely fly missions over Afghanistan and other warzones. The virus, first detected nearly two weeks ago by the military’s Host-Based Security System, has not prevented pilots at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada from flying their missions overseas.
