Hi 3dGameMan
You need to review MOBOs and CPUs as well.
You should do some complete builds!
I love the idea of a live broadcast!
What time and day would you plan to do a broadcast (Timezone). I think this should also be a poll question on what time people would be able to watch.
What day/time for a live technology show?: http://www.3dgameman.com/polls/2010/08/02/what-daytime-live-technology-show
Hey 3dGameMan, why don't you use Justin.tv for live broadcasting? its much better, i use it for Livecasting and its more controllable, like giving users MOD powers (kick/ban/mute/timeout other users that flame/spam/ect) Or are you able to do that on ustream too?
Ustream has similar stuff and a smartphone app so I can stream from my phone ;)
I'm a longtime troll at your site and do check your reviews pretty religiously.
While I do like the idea for a live show, I must qualify that based on you show time forecast of a half or whole hour.
I believe starting with an hour would be a HUGE mistake.
In fact, my belief is that a max of 25 minutes for a couple months is the way to go while you find out what does and does not get you followers.
Hope to see it happen!

I think its a great idea. Ashamed to say I didnt know about your live broadcast last year. I watch all of your videos but I havent been nearly as active on your forums as I was years back. I logged in and couldnt believe how long its been since I first discovered your site...7 years and counting. Time has flown by.
Well, I actually registered specifically for this one here. I mainly think it would be an awesome idea since inside of the 10 minute limitation on reviews and such, it seems as though you are a bit rushed. I think the live thing would be cool because it would show off a bit of the "on the spot, non edited" Rodney.
I cant really say. I might try it out though.
I think 10-15 minutes would do it for me. Also it would depend on the time of the broadcast, as I live in the UK. (Although I wouldn't mind too much if it was just a recording)
Thanks for the detailed reviews
Keep 'em coming! :)
I'd love to follow you and see what you have to say about tech in general...although I know that means asking for more samples from companies that may or may not happen.
Also I know Ustream saves your feeds so if I miss a show I can watch it on my own time.
But then again...I guess the only good thing about doing it live is that when you can answer questions and stuff and get to interact with the community.
Just my two cents...
P.S. Hope you can do it on the weekends like Saturday or something.
I am VERY Interested But i rather just watch it on youtube its basically more convenient... not all of us can watch the tv at a specific time or so but the youtube yes we can!
I say your just getting yourself into more work...
I already follow your videos, why not give it a go? If things don't go your way just stop.
I would like to see it.
Asking me to follow it before I see it is too much to ask.
I need to see something first to follow it. Your reviews are pretty good so that should be an indication of the quality of the show (hopefuly).
Best of luck
I have recently discovered your channel and I would love to follow a live show, unfortunately I live in England so the time difference would probably not work out, I really think you should consider doing a podcast of your live shows just in case people miss them.
I would follow them!
If I could with the time region, I live in Belgium GMT+1.
Oh, and I would like that we could send you messages where you can answer them in the live show or something like that.
Rodney, I think that doing a live show would be a WONDERFUL idea. Sort of a forum show. With your knowledge on computer components and gadgets, you could EASILY host your own radio program. I think it could work out very well for you.
I like the idea of a live show, but since I rarely watch shows live on TV, I probably wouldn't make the effort to catch a 3dGameman show live either. I like the freedom of DVR on TV, and youtube like videos on the internet.
I like to watch things when my schedule allows. I don't like rearranging my life to watch a live program.
I wish you the best Rodney, I think it's a really neat idea and a hell of a nice thing for you to want to do. Good luck!
yes i'd love to watch them :-)
Hell yeah,
It's about time
Yes I would watch them I'm not sure if I would be able to watch them all the time due to the time difference but I watched some of your ustreams before (well one) and I thought they were good. I was kind of like WOW it's the guy from YouTube :D
I hope you will do some more!
Just discovered your channel... I think it would be a great idea, and I would definitely watch them.
I would love this! You should also have a segment for tech news and even make this a podcast for listening to later. Just my thoughts but either way I would love a live show!
Think this is a great idea, also if you had a section on gaming. Like the games you are playing at the moment and your thoughts on them? I think that would be cool.
Rodney, I really think you should do it. I subscribe to your YouTube account to watch unboxings and reviews. Honestly if you do the live broadcast then I would register and follow. I think it's worth watching mainly if anyone is into tech related stuff and having you talk about it would be interesting. But yes, I would love to watch it if you do it. Register in a heart beat!
Well... there are now 443 Ustream followers, but need a few hundred more.
I Would watch your live stream tech video's, i really enjoy watching your review video, and your joke videos. I would watch every week.
I think it's a terrific idea. I'd like to see you have your own show on G4TV. Maybe something like the old "Screensavers" show.
Hey Rodney, do it! Everyone had a great time on the chat last night please do this!
Hey Rodney! I have a suggestion! How about a 3DGameMan TV?
6:00 AM - 8:59 AM: Old Video Reviews
9:00 AM - 11:59 AM: Unboxing Videos
12:00 PM - 2:59 PM: Recent Video Reviews
3:00 PM - 4:59 PM: Live Broadcasting
5:00 PM - 5:59 PM: Q&A Videos
6:00 PM - 8:59 PM: Old Video Reviews (Repeat)
9:00 PM - 11:59 PM: Unboxing Videos (Repeat)
12:00 AM - 2:59 AM: Recent Video Reviews (Repeat)
3:00 AM - 4:59 AM: Live Broadcasting (Recorded)
5:00 AM - 5:59 AM: Q&A Videos (Repeat)
But then would that use up a lot of bandwidth? I'm just wondering since this will have a negative effect on your high-speed Internet bill...
That's not a bad idea... but remember this will be more Rodney Reynolds than 3dGameMan.. It's on my RodneyReynolds Ustream account and videos will be recorded to my personal YouTube channel.
Ah, then I must have missed what you said in the video, then.
I have a hearing impairment, though, but oh well. I can understand you when I watch a lot of video reviews and unboxing videos, including most of the Q&A videos, though.
a live show with a chat room to ask questions would be cool. I just hope it's at 9pm EST.
Yea, it will probably be 9-10 EST, but not 100% sure yet.
it will be a excellent idea for you to do that as its always nice to have new info on new tech due out. And also your reviews are excellents I bought a NZXT case on your recomodation M59 best case i had EVER
I would really be interested in watching these shows, but on the count of the time differences between the USA and Israel, I'm not exactly sure if I'll be able to catch all of the shows, maybe record them and post them on youtube afterwards as well, for those who missed it or just couldn't make it?
Yes, live show would be recorded and up on Ustream as well as on my personal YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/RodneyBReynolds
It's a nice idea in theory but in practice you quickly run into time zone issues. Even if you broadcast it at prime time central time then it's going to be about midnight in UK and 1am in mainland europe.
i like this idea but could you add problem solving ie how to over clock most modern systems not just fancy ones and please remember some of us live in euorope ie scotland i mean the time diffrence. like your reviews.
What i would like is a live and a recorded version that we could get on any time and watch if we missed it
Kinda like Feedback on G4tv.com or BonusRound on Gametrailers.com
PLEASE bring this to us i have been waiting for a good Tech show on the internet and i love your personality! i would really follow if its available in an archive
Yea, there would be both.
PLEASE DO THIS!
if possible on Youtube
It depends on what time you do it for me really. But if you do a video a couple of days before you are going to be live and upload it to youtube saying that you are going to do a live show and I have nothing to do ofcorse I would watch it.
Keep up the great work also.
Yes, live show would be recorded and up on Ustream as well as on my personal YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RodneyBReynolds
Yeah, I would love too see some livestream where we can ask you stuff and have a answer back almost instant.
And yeah, I would actively follow those sessions.
I think that would be great but once you do it live you should put it in a video so everyone can see after it was live
Yes, live show would be recorded and up on Ustream as well as on my personal YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RodneyBReynolds
hey i think its a good idea. but i also think you should maybe trail it for a while and see if the views pick up. i mean when you started on youtube you did not start with 1000s plus followers.
