It all depends on how much, if yeah, they say so and so dies or if they say what the ending is, then its too much and I smack the person around a bit.... Jk, though I do let them know what they did.
Regarding movie and game plots, I have the pleasure of NOT being intelligent enough to foresee most twists. This gives me HELL of an experience with full jaw-dropping moments. So, I dislike both spoilers and (regarding series and sequels) speculations. Recently, I was given a speculation about the future in "A Game of Thrones", which I would have loved to figure out myself, because I experience it like I do an epiphany, but it didn't ruin anything for me (hell, what CAN ruin A Game of Thrones??).
I'm immune to spoilers, I remember watching se7en and my mom told me whats inside the box before Morgan Freeman opened it and I wasn't fazed one bit.
Another worthless videos? where are review videos? I guess i should check this site less from now
You said The Game :( .
I lost it.
Sometimes I fell that trailers for movies and games are in their own way spoilers. Anyone else feel the same way?
Darth Vader is Luke's father, Snape kills Dumbledore, The cake is a lie, Soylent Green is people, the princess is in another castle, Bruce Willis is a ghost, Rosebud is the sled, and Michael Bay is a horrible director.
I hate spoilers for books or movies because, that's all about the story, though in a game I only care if it has a complex or interesting story, many of the games I play are just sandbox games or I only play online.
Happened to me once, about a Bruce Willis movie. I haven't watched it yet (was borrowing it from a co-worker years ago) and a co-worker said "I can't believe he was dead throughout the movie." Another co-worker took the movie and said I didn't need to watch it. Well when the scene came around to a part my wife looked at me and said "You better not ever do this to me!!!!" I was sitting there thinking He's DEAD, but I didn't want to spoil it for her. If you watched this movie you know what I'm talking about.
Do I hate them? No not really, but if it's a movie I want to see then Yes. But nothing can top the spoiler in this movie.
Sixth Sense? haha, yeah before I talk to people about films or even borrowing them I tell them not to ruin them so keep their mouths shut =/
One thing with film films I hate more than little spoilers though are 'teaser' trailers, if I ever get my way I'll ban 'em from existence =)
Yeah I know, except this was at work and the one guy gave me the movie and the other just blurted it out. It was like "here it is" "I can't believe he was dead..." Everyone else was yelling "SHUT UP He hasn't seen it". No time to react. Everyone else in the office seen it. This was right after it was released. It's an on going joke, someone will mention something about a movie and others will say Is he dead throughout the movie. I don't think there's another movie thats as big of a let down as that. Good movie, but would have been better if I hadn't known. Oh well what ya going to do, it was my brother out of all people (not the brightest of the bunch, oops did I type that).
I don't watch movies anyway :D
But I couldn't care less if someone told me the plot for a game I was about to play.
I don't mind if people say something important about a movie and spoil it for others. The movie will still be just as good for me and it wont stop me watching it and enjoying the storyline/plot that leads up to the "spoiler" moment :)
Yeah spoilers are pretty bad. Had a few experiences with it, even with things like wallpaper which show things that you have not seen yet. It pretty much spoils the whole 'what's coming next' part. But other than that, if it's good i'll still enjoy it anyway.
I hate it for movies because sometimes they tell to much. But for games it gives a good view what kind of game you can expect. But it has to be an ingame trailer and not cutscenes. That's more a kind of deception for promoting a game while it's something different. I hate it for movies but not for games. ... Ah New Reviews I'll Be Keeping a close Eye :p
Really if its a good movie I would watch it still it still a great movie.. but still it looses some of its awesomeness
