ya i agree that piracy is killing pc gaming but i think this subject is a little deeper than just that i also think that the economy is to blame as well because as a hardcore pc gamer myself i dont do piracy i like to have actual hard copies of the games. And if the economy was to get better {witch it will not} and people would go out and get jobs and stop living out of mom and pops basement then PC gaming might be different because they can afford to buy PC games. and also instead of buying games in stores get them online the best place to get PC games is amazon.com if people would just be patient wait a month after a game comes out they can get it off amazon for half retail price brand new.
avoid the viruses. just buy the damn game. else devs will stop making good pc games. i think that's why we get crap pc games.
If nothing else your better off buying the game so you do not get viruses.
Actually the piracy question/answer is irrelevant. And the pay per title is irrelevant, people want something of value, and for a better experience they will pay for it. Case in point: Facebook Zynga games (Farmville, Mafia Wars, etc.) a free game to play, that rakes in millions of dollars per day in revenue for people who pay for a better experience.
Outside the box thinking that knocked the conventional game publishers on their behind. Perfect illustration is the following presentation...
